In this video I discuss my 50% science 50% spiritual approach to managing mental illness. I have found that no amount of prayer, meditation, yoga, or working out were able to eliminate my mental illness. When our neurotransmitters are not working properly, this needs to be addressed. I encourage everyone to try prayer, yoga, meditation, a healthy diet, and exercise first. The first supplement I will talk about is SAMe. SAMe needs to be taken with b12 b6 and folic acid to work properly. This has the most profound effect on me than anything else I take. I also take niacinamide, vitamin b3, for anxiety. It has bee reported it works almost as effectively as a benzo. I take a probiotic which has really helped my gut food and gut health. Glutamine is an amino acid that helps with anxiety. I take 5htp which is a serotonin precursor. I take lithium orotate which is for mood stabilization. Phenylalanine also helps with my depression. I take taurine which is another amino acid. It helps with anxiety and overall health. I take fish oil which is good for joints and heart. I take vitamin d3, the sunlight hormone. This helps people regulate mood and in men increases testosterone too. I take Gaba at night time before I go to bed and it helps with anxiety and to help me sleep. Aschwaganda is not mentioned in the video, but it also seems to really help my mood. All of the things I take are healthy and good for the body too, unlike many prescription drugs that have many negative side effects. My suggestion is to add one thing at a time and consult a doctor if you are already taking prescription medications.

It’s a chemical that helps improve your mood and sleep. It also reduces hunger and sugar cravings. Higher serotonin is also linked to living longer. One of the main types of foods that increases serotonin are our favorite type of foods, which is carbohydrates. In certain studies, Americans has been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency. Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more. The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (bpa), and toxicity. Try to get outside everyday for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight. Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat. For a good supplement, I would recommend a high quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body. Here is the best nightly routine for anxiety, depression and insomnia! This can also work for anyone else. 5-6 pm Eat a healthy plant based dinner. Fruits, veggies and lean meats. We dont need junk food or processed food. Also we are eating early so your body can focus on sleeping and healing rather than digesting a large meal you had right before bed. No alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, or high amounts of sugar. These things disrupt sleep cycles, raise your heart rates and blood pressures. 6-7 pm Healthy Hobby Time. Go walking, practice your crafts, visit with family etc. Listen to only positive and relaxing music, television and social media. After an hour or so of this take a cold shower. Then the vitamins, supplements and personal care. After this, you will need to do meditation for 15-20 min. Journal for 10-20 min. JOURNALS BELOW! Then do some deep breathing exercises. Drink 1-2 glasses of water then sleep away! Turn everything off well before laying down. So how do we overcome anxiety or beat anxiety disorder? These are tips that you should be trying every single day to stop your anxiety! Dont skip any days and remember that there will still be bad days. Its how we handle the bad days, that determines how we progress in our mental health. First, discover and work on your root causes of anxiety! Practice gratitude everyday!
