Rescued Puppy Mill Dogs Get a Second Chance

05:01
In July 2014, the Cherokee County Animal Shelter and Cherokee County Marshal's Office busted a huge puppy mill that had been operating in Georgia since the 1980s. All dogs and puppies were rescued from the horrific facility and were cared for at the Cherokee County Animal Shelter until they were ready for rescue or adoption. Many pregnant females gave birth shortly after the bust, and raising the final total of rescued dogs even further. The owners of the puppy mill plead guilty to 25 charges of animal cruelty and were sentenced to 25 consecutive years of probation. This video takes you through the puppy mill bust firsthand, then shows you the day the dogs were adopted, and a very special reunion that took place one year later. Don't support this cruelty by buying puppies from flea markets or pet stores, or online. Instead, check out your local shelter or rescue group, or find a truly responsible breeder. Say no to puppy mills! Puppy Mill Awareness Day is September 27, 2015. Mutant animals: Two-headed cat born in China has two mouths and three eyes

05:24
SHENYANG, CHINA — A pet owner from China got quite the surprise recently when his cat gave birth to a litter of kittens, including a mutant with two heads. The little guy has three eyes and two mouths, according to the state-run People’s Daily. Experts told the newspaper there is a one-in-a-million chance of mutations like this occurring, and it could be due to radiation, infection or medicine. The cat’s owner, Xiao Wei, reportedly called the kitten Akamaru, from the popular Naruto anime series (Akamaru’s actually a frickin’ dog, but live and let live, as they say). Xiao told Chinese state media that he would never sell Akamaru, adding that he hopes the cat grows up to be healthy. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Death by caffeine: South Carolina teen died of cardiac arrest from too much caffeine - TomoNews

07:35
CHAPIN, SOUTH CAROLINA — A South Carolina teen is dead after a deadly combo of caffeinated drinks triggered a fatal issue in his normally healthy heart. NBC reports that Davis Allen Cripe collapsed in class on April 26, and died just an hour later. The 16-year-old had multiple caffeinated drinks that day, including a large diet Mountain dew, a cafe latte, and an energy drink, all of which he drank within two hours. An autopsy revealed that he died from a caffeine-induced cardiac event, which was probable arrhythmia, otherwise known as abnormal heart rhythm. According to the Mayo Clinic, a healthy adult can safely consume as much as 400 milligrams of caffeine daily, equivalent to either four cups of coffee, 10 colas, or three to five energy drinks. But for teens aged 13 to 18, the recommended daily intake is only 100 milligrams — that’s a cup of coffee, three colas, or one energy drink. Caffeine prompts the release of the stress hormone norepinephrine, too much of which can cause rapid or irregular heart rate. Not enough blood is pumped into the body as a result, thus damaging or shutting down the brain and other organs. People who have died from caffeine overdoses also experienced seizures, with some reportedly choking on their own vomit. Caffeine does have certain good benefits, and the vast majority consume it with no negative effects. But experts warn that it should be taken in moderation, especially for kids and adolescents. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. 10 Weird Creatures Washed Up On Shore

07:55
From mythical giant squids, to completely bizarre fish, these are the weirdest animals washed up on shore ! # 5 Conjoined Gray Whales On January 5th of 2015, extremely rare conjoined grey whale calves washed up on the shores of Baja California, Mexico. The Siamese twins measured about seven to ten feet in length which is about 5-6 feet shorter than most gray whale calves. Although many people don’t see them, according to veterinarian Michael Moore, conjoined twins being born to large whales is not completely unheard of. However they’re rarely seen because of how hard it is to give birth and raise two whales out in the middle of the ocean. When they washed up, concerns were raised about it being the results of the nuclear fallout from the Fukushima plant meltdown but after testing the DNA of the twins no radiation was found. # 4 Hairy Dolphin In 2015, a really strange creature washed up onto the coast of Russia. It looked like a completely strange sight to see in the cold region as dolphins aren’t native to the region. The carcass was also very strange looking - although it seemed like a the remains of an Indian or Ganges dolphin it was also covered in what looked like fur. The reason that the dolphin ended up all the way over by Russia is because a sudden change in warm water currents allowed it to swim out to Russian Waters. However, the surge of warmth quickly fades and the dolphin is left in water that is too cold for it to survive in which leads to it freezing to death. Before this lost dolphin wound up on shore, it collected algae that began to grow on its corpse. That algae is what gives it the appearance of having fur. # 3 Longnosed Batfish This completely baffling creature washed up on a beach in Brazil for tourists to find. It has wings, legs, and a tail and a strange nose looking appendage which makes it seem like the product of a randomizer in a Create-A-Fish game. It is actually the Longnosed Batfish which, while unknown to many people, is documented by scientists. It has evolved jointed fins and legs which allow it to walk along the seafloor in search of food and a strange suction tube like mouth which allows it to suck up their meals. Even though it’s not exactly a new discovery, it's strange and shocking appearance is just more proof of how little we know about our own ocean. # 2 Hairless Mystery Creature In December of 2014, this partly decomposed, hairy creature washed up onto a beach in Santa Barbara. It was discovered near a dredge pipe on the beach after a major brutal storm. Because of the violent storm, it’s hard to understand where it could have originated from. This picture was taken by Josh Menard, a 19 year old snowboarder from Lake Tahoe. Menard described it as having the body shape of a pig, a fat stomach, and insanely large canines. This mysterious hairless creature has been left unidentified but some hypotheses include a dog and a wolf. # 1 Millions of Velella velella In 2014, millions of creatures colloquially called “by-the-wind sailors” were washing up along the west coast from California to Oregon. The jellyfish like creatures are scientifically known as Velella velella and are actually hydrozoans, not jellyfish. The creatures look like strange little half blown plastic bags. Because they float freely with water and wind currents they don’t really have control over where they go. They’re usually found free floating around in the Pacific Ocean but they can be found all over the world. Every few years a really big storm might throw currents way off and end up setting millions of by-the-wind sailors crashing into beaches. Sometimes, they can even be found in piles 2 to 3 feet high. They don’t sting when touched but they do emit a specific rotting smell when they pile on in the beach. Wildlife Agencies and Hunters continues to lie and mislead the public about deer birth control

04:49
Hunters and wildlife Agencies are so afraid of deer birth control so they will do anything in their power to negate it by lying, deceiving and misleading the public. Wildlife Agencies and "Deer Management" or "Wildlife Management" is really about "managing" large herd of deer for recreational purpose year after year so in reality , all that "concern" about overpopulation and deer vehicle accident is their own doing. Every state that has the most hunters for many years had the most deer thus high deer vehicle accidents. What is an immunocontraceptive? Immunocontraception is non-hormonal form of contraception, based on the same principles as disease prevention through vaccination. An immunocontraceptive causes the production of antibodies against some essential element of the reproductive process, thus preventing pregnancy. How does PZP work? The zona pellucida is the membrane that surrounds all mammalian eggs. When the PZP immunocontraceptive is injected, the animal produces the antibodies that produced by the animal block the sperm receptors on the egg, making fertilization and thus pregnancy impossible. Jay Kirkpatrick. Ph.D. likens it to putting superglue in a lock. Isn't darting a deer the same thing as shooting it with an arrow? The darts used to deliver PZP vaccine are very small, approximately 3 inches long, and have a needle like a syringe, while arrows are razor tipped to cut through flesh and sinew and cause bleeding: they wound and kill. Darts do not: they hit, inject and pop out. Isn't PZP still experimental and unproved? PZP is experimental in the sense that is not marketed as a commercial vaccine. It is not experimental in the sense that it is unproved. Published documents in peer reviewed journals establish it as a sound fertility inhibitor. How much does PZP cost per dose per deer? The cost of PZP vaccine is between $10 and $25 per dose at present and is constantly being reduced as production becomes more efficient. Isn't PZP unnatural? PZP vaccine is as natural--or unnatural--as wearing clothes, taking aspirin, using chemical lures, high tech bows, razor tipped arrows, guns, traps and poison. PZP is a protein found in the ovaries of pigs, specifically the eggs. It is no different than the protein found in a pork chop or a piece of ham. Isn't hunting or sharp shooting more efficient than PZP? Hunting or culling with guns or bows, as it is practiced in Pennsylvania, is not effective due to reproductive rebound. If hunting reduced numbers, the Pennsylvania deer herd would not have constantly increased during the last century, while the number of deer killed each season has also increased. Most importantly is... What is reproductive rebound? Reproductive rebound is a well documented population dynamic in deer and other mammals. Deer conceive multiple embryos but the number of fawns actually born is determined by a number of complex factors including nutrition and herd density. With competition for food reduced by a sudden drop in herd numbers, younger fawns will breed and females will give birth to twins and triplets instead of single fawns. In its 1990 report, "An Assessment of Deer Hunting in New Jersey," New Jersey Fish and Game offered a detailed example of this process. Its report shows that even during hunting seasons in which killing female deer was the objective (antlerless seasons), the remaining females had increased birthrates that not only replaced the ones killed, but increased the overall size of the herd. PA reject it as well as many other Wildlife Agencies/DNR/DEC Why can't we use PZP vaccine for deer in PA? The Pennsylvania Game Commission, which controls wildlife in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, refuses to allow PZP vaccine to be used. Why do you suppose they and many other Wildlife Agencies refuses? "We strive to maintain a deer herd that each year that can provide quality sport to more than a million hunters." How To Avoid Deer Vehicle Collisions - Steps to take to keep safe

04:27
Why do we always have "too many deer"? A MUST WATCH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c-Hp6Pc_Zo In addition, there are a number of myths associated with deer-car crashes that Allstate, in partnership with a number of states across the nation, are sharing with drivers to remind them to be on watch for Whitetails. MYTH #1: Always swerve to avoid hitting a deer. Actually, police statistics show that most motorist deaths and injuries occur when drivers swerve to avoid hitting the deer and strike a fixed object, such as a tree or another vehicle. It may seem powerless, but simply applying your brakes while you're buckled up, gripping the steering wheel with both hands, and coming to a controlled stop (if possible) can actually help minimize damage and injuries. MYTH #2: Motorcyclists are not as likely to strike a deer. In fact, motorcyclists are more vulnerable to death or injury in motorcycle-deer crashes. More than 80 percent of all motorcycle-deer crashes involve an injury. MYTH #3: Deer are usually out at dusk. In addition to dusk, you should watch for deer during their prime feeding times; especially at dawn and the first few hours of darkness. Myth #4 - Hunting reduce Deer Vehicle Accident ABSOLUTELY NOT in fact hunting makes deer vehicle accident worse (see last portion below and link) Here are some other tips Allstate recommends: -- Be especially cautious when driving on two-lane roads and rural roads. -- If you see one deer cross, slow down and watch for others to follow. -- Glance continually from the road to the roadside, looking for movement where roads are bordered by fields or natural habitat. -- Heed deer crossing signs and reduce speed in deer "hot spots." -- At night, watch for reflection from headlights in the eyes of deer. -- If a deer "freezes" in your headlights, turn your lights off and then on. For more information on this and other safety topics, visit www.allstate.com. For Motorcyclist http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/streetsurvival/preventing_fatal_deer_accidents/index.html "There is also a slight increase in April and May, which is fawning season." WHY DVA ARE HIGHEST DURING OCT-DEC AND WHY HUNTING IS THE CAUSE OF DVA? "Deer are out and about in the region. Driven by hunters, they're darting out onto roads, possibly in the path of your car." Another reason more accidents occur in fall is because the deer are moving - deer season is beginning. "If you were being shot at, you'd run too," Call said. Facts you should know The Counties/States with the highest number of Deer Vehicle Accidents where among the most heavily hunted counties. Pennsylvania Michigan Illinois Ohio Georgia Virginia Minnesota Texas Indiana South Carolina NJ Wisconsin How is that possible? HUMAN FATALITY IN DVA IS MURDER ONE http://www.all-creatures.org/hope/deer-20070829.htm Rut is part of nature but hunting is not. Because of hunting we have more deer thus more buck (rut) for hunters recreational purpose. Why is it that states with high DVA's such as W. Va and PA Game and Fisheries website they talk about "producing deer" for hunters? Here are couple of things I have learned which many anti-hunters have talked about it for a long time but DNR do not want the public to believe which is that they PRODUCE deer for hunters recreational purpose. W. Virginia tops in Deer Vehicle Accident yet hunters wants to help reproduce deer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCShLJKgPUE How mass killing deer will in fact create more deer (good for the State wildlife agencies to bring in Revenue) Many state agencies are run by hunters and more then happy to provide deer with no care for the lives of innocent humans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EabBunxhfc If Indiana's Fish and Game provide deer for hunters of course DVA's will be on the rise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvYPw5KYn4I The ultimate ugly truth about hunting (Go to my blogger) http://mathew5-7.blogspot.com/ Deer birth control works and its WORKS WELL 60 percent reduction in deer herd size http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29zuL9qWq9E Deer birth control works and it works well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O89KlVzqxDs&feature=related

16 Foot Anaconda Loose in New Jersey Lake Hopatcong

01:42
HOPATCONG, N.J. — A reptile specialist leading the search for a snake on the loose in Lake Hopatcong now says it is a green anaconda, not a boa constrictor, as officials had maintained. Gerald Andrejcak told NJ.com that he was told by a local animal control officer to keep quiet about the true species to avoid raising public panic. Andrejcak said in the past few weeks of searching, he saw the snake once, estimating it to be up to 16 feet long with a head the size of a human. Reptile Expert: Snake On Loose In NJ Actually An Anaconda Green anacondas can grow to be as large as 29 feet and 550 pounds, according to NationalGeographic.com. So far, the snake has become New Jersey's version of the Loch Ness Monster, with various sightings but still alluding capture. Officials are advising people to call police if they see it, and to stay away. Andrejcak said it was not a lie to describe the snake as a boa constrictor "because it's a member of the boa family." Neighbors have been worried. "It's scary because you don't know where he's creeping from, so we just want it caught," Michelle Poli told CBS 2′s Tracee Carrasco last week. "What we're afraid of is the animals, small dogs, cats, raccoons — and I would advise people not to put their baby in the lake," animal control Officer Dale Sloat told Carrasco. "A snake this size can probably swim about 25 miles an hour." Sloat believes the snake was likely someone's pet, and was released into the water when it became too big to care for. "We have to catch it," Sloat said"

1. Dec 28, 2016 — A cat who’d been neglected by her owner with Alzheimer’s disease was found with fur matted so badly it had become dreadlocks. 2. Jun 26, 2014 — A badly bruised and injured dog named Xiao Huang, callously abandoned by his owner in southern Taiwan, is finally getting medical attention after dutifully waiting in the same spot for two years for his master to return. 3. Jan 28, 2015 — A two-year-old mixed breed dog is lucky to be alive after two men, believed to her owners, tied her up outside of a store and left her in the freezing cold temperatures. 4. Jul 6, 2017 — A 3-month-old puppy left alone in a Las Vegas airport bathroom this week is now looking for a better home. 5. May 21, 2014 — Okay, so it seems someone didn't get the memo: adorable puppies turn into (sometimes) adorable dogs. Regardless of appearance, however, when you make a commitment to getting a puppy, the commitment doesn't dissolve when the animal grows up. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. The Terrible Hoarding Case in Howell, NJ

04:22
By now you may have heard of the hoarding case in Howell, NJ, where almost 300 small dogs were living in one single family home. We at Associated Humane Societies have been involved with rescuing animals from hoarding situations many, many times in the past but this many dogs in one home is astounding, even for us. Our AHS Tinton Falls Animal Control Officer was called out to Bennett Road in Howell, NJ to retrieve a loose dog and when he got the little dog, he was alerted to the situation going on in the home where the dog came from. Once he discovered that there were multiple dogs in the home, he had to investigate. What he found was just astonishing. There were dogs everywhere......some were even in the walls. The conditions were absolutely deplorable in the home. Our ACO alerted law enforcement of the situation and several animal welfare organizations came out to the home as well. The conditions were so horrendous that hazmat gear needed to be worn to enter the home and even then, many of the rescuers had difficulty tolerating the stench. The rescue effort between the multiple animal welfare agencies took the entire day and at last count, 276 dogs have been removed from the home. The homeowners were cooperative, but failed to see what they had done wrong. Animal cruelty charges are pending. We at Associated Humane Societies have taken 60 of these dogs into our care and are anxious to get them all on the road to recovery. Most of the dogs have never left the home before so this whole ordeal has absolutely terrified them. Although the dogs were well fed, they were completely neglected otherwise. Some have health issues, some had recently had puppies and one dog actually gave birth during the rescue mission. All of the dogs were heavily infested with fleas and are dirty and matted. All will require grooming and some will need to be shaved. Our veterinarians have given the initial vaccines and microchips and next, the dogs will groomed, spayed and neutered. We expect to find some medical issues with some of the dogs but hopefully nothing too serious. After all of that is done, the real work begins. These adorable and sweet little dogs have led a lifetime of isolation and have lived in filth and squalor. Once everything settles down for them, we will begin to assess their personalities and work on getting them to overcome their fears. This will take a few weeks so they will not be available for adoption immediately though we are hoping to have them ready for good homes in about a month. This rescue mission along with the many special needs cases that we have taken in as of late has put a major strain on our Res-Q Fund. If you are able to make a donation toward the care of these many dogs, please text HumaneHelp to 41444 or click hear to donate to our Res-Q Fund: http://www.ahscares.org/shop/item.asp?itemid=28&catid=5 All three of our AHS facilities took part in this rescue and could also use donations of Pedigree Small Bites, Pedigree canned food, and small dog harnesses. Please go to our website: www.ahscares.org, for our location addresses. Thank you all for your support.....we could not help these animals in need without your help.

Squirrel Removal Example Using One Way Doors

01:24
It's still baby squirrel season as some adult squirrels are giving birth to their second litters! In this video we were in Brantford Ontario doing a squirrel removal job, and we decided to shoot some video of our implementation of one-way exit doors. To our surprise the squirrels got curious and decided to see what was going on. In front of our technician, they made their way down the shaft of the exit door and came completely out. This is where you’ll see the problems the squirrels had trying to get back into the attic. From this point on the squirrels won’t get back in, but professional squirrel removal doesn’t only involved finding and removing squirrels; it’s involved installing reliable re-entry countermeasures so they’re deterred from entering a home or attic ever again. Without implementing professional squirrel control, you’ll be taking money out of your own pocket season after season and paying extra for the damages they incur. The problem is solved when you call the experts! GIANT African Land Snail! | Baby Snails | My Pet Snail

07:49
My GIANT African Land Snail & Her Babies! My pet snails. Hey guys! Today I decided to show off my giant african land snail, Shrek. Shrek was rescued from certain doom by a kind couple who found Shrek and her siblings abandoned on the road. Hope you all enjoy her! x Em ******************************************************* IMPORTANT NOTICE As you can tell, I’m super passionate about animals and they really excite me. I know many of you are also like that, but it’s important to remember that every animal you buy or adopt is a huge responsibility. African Land Snails need a special diet and rely on certain temperatures and humidity levels in order to survive. Please do your research and think carefully about whether you can provide the best care for your future pet, and whether or not you know of a good, exotics veterinarian. Not all vets will be able to help exotics! Thanks for reading! ******************************************************* Subscribe to my YOUTUBE channel for weekly videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCE37328iVnqSj1OCrgrYd8w ********************************************* SNAIL MAIL DETAILS!! Volunteers feed dogs at Darjeeling Animal Shelter

01:41
Darjeeling Animal Shelter is a project of Darjeeling Goodwill Animal Shelter trust (DGAS). In 1995 Christine and Jeremy Townend founded Kalimpong Animal Shelter, which was built on the outskirts of the town. They were deeply distressed by the condition of the stray dogs in Kalimpong and Darjeeling, former British Hill Stations in the foothills of the Himalayas in West Bengal. There were no animal shelters, and dogs were travelling the streets in gangs, hungry, suffering from mange, with wounds inflicted by boiling water, or a blow from the kukuri (Nepalese knife), and with injuries from accidents. In both towns the dogs were being regularly poisoned with strychnine by the municipalities in the mistaken belief that this would control the spread of rabies.. However, after the local population of dogs was killed, remaining dogs rapidly multiplied to fill the empty biological niche and so the poisoning did not provide a permanent solution. The Animal Birth Control (ABC) Programme which was functioning successfully at Help in Suffering Animal Shelter in Jaipur, was used as a model for both Kalimpong and Darjeeling Animal Shelters. The municipalities agreed to stop poisoning all dogs in both towns and the programmes began in 1995 at KAS and 2007 at Darjeeling Animal Shelter (DAS). The ABC programmes in both towns have proved enormously successful. 4 more NJ Morris County Parks will be turned into killing fields by bowhunters

03:03
Sadistic Bow hunting will be allowed this season at: Old Troy County Park in Parsippany; Tourne County Park in Boonton Township and Mountain Lakes; Mahlon Dickerson Reservation in Jefferson; and Jonathans Woods in Denville, In addition to the four parks to be re-opened to hunting, other county park venues to be hunted in the 2009-10 season are: Lewis Morris Park, Black River Park, Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area in Kinnelon and Montville, Mount Hope Historical County Park in Rockaway Township and Mount Paul Memorial Park in Mendham and Chester townships. that is now 18 parks in Morris County alone!! Bow hunting is beyond immoral. It is the ultimate act of despicable cruelty by hunters fueled with a thirst for killing by the most hideous of means. It is pure evil to commit any living being to such a horrible mix of agony, pain, and death. Watch this video and you will see that bowhunted animals do die a slow death. The quotes came straight from hunting websites. Ethical Hunters says"'let the deer layup and die" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw4MyyM1utc So forget the lies of bowhunters when they say "dispatched in less then 30 seconds" An Analysis of Deer Management in New Jersey At the beginning of the 20th century there were few deer in our state. In the following years, deer were stocked and bred for the sole purpose of recreational hunting: "Deer were reestablished in New Jersey by sportsmen-conservationists for the purpose of sport hunting. Since that "restocking period" the responsible agency (now the Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife) has been managing the deer resource for this purpose." An Assessment of Deer Hunting in New Jersey. That mission, creating deer for hunters to kill, is now well into it's second century and still being carried out by the Division - whose employee salaries are paid by the sale of hunting licenses - and the NJ Fish and Game Council, the hunter controlled state board that has power over all wild animals. In understanding who is responsible for the current size of our deer population, it is important to acknowledge the vast measure of years that the Division has been actively increasing deer herds. To this end, an overview of the Division's deer program will be examined decade by decade, from the 1950's to the present day. "Planting program - During the fall of 1957, 223 1/2 acres of land were prepared and planted with rye. The operation involved 75 locations in South Jersey and included the application of 69 tons of lime and 43 1/2 tons of fertilizer." Division of Fish and Game Annual Report, 1957-58. The annual report for 1958-59 states that, "...416 wildlife food patches were planted throughout the state..." and that they distributed "...94 1/2 tons of fertilizer during the year." These are not isolated incidents; a further survey of annual reports from the 1950's and '60's shows yearly progress reports on near-identical planting activities. Creating food for deer to eat is a crucial component of the Division's design, and it was part of an over-arching plan for enlarging deer herds that was brought to fruition in the 1970's: "From the mid-1970's through the 1980's, the Division and the Fish and Game Council sought to allow deer numbers to increase within sections of the inner coastal plain including Salem, western Cumberland, Gloucester, northwestern Burlington and western Monmouth counties. By 1990, with the exceptions of Island Beach State Park, a small portion of Cape May County located below the Cape May canal and a few other isolated areas, deer occupied all available range." 10 Highway Cops Who Did The Unthinkable

06:22
Subscribe for a new video ►► http://goo.gl/XFN9BN These highway cops didn't take their jobs for granted and did way more than they are paid to do. 10. 12 minutes is not much. But it seems like an eternity when you're trying to save someone's life. Ohio State Trooper Eric Devers responded to a crash where the driver's truck careened down a 60-foot embankment from the highway. He raced down to John Depue, who was in bad shape, and started giving him chest compressions, yelling “Dont you die on me, don't you die on me!” He kept encourging Depue to breathe, saying “Don't give up on me!” After a rough 12 minutes at the scene, Depue was transported to a nearby hospital. Had it not been for Trooper Devers, Depue would certainly have died. The truck driver later recovered, and credits Devers for saving his life. 9. On a busy Connecticut highway last Christmas, a woman was being driven to a hospital to give birth. But that baby wasn't going to wait till they got to the hospital. So the driver, the woman's brother, pulled over on Route 2 and was trying to flag down someone to help them when Trooper Greg Capps happened by, just in time to deliver a healthy baby boy. I'd say that was a pretty darned good Christmas present for all involved. 8. In Marion, South Carolina, a woman was driving along the highway when her daughter, Eysley, who was in the back seat, became unresponsive, suffering a seizure. So she drove up to where State Trooper Lance Corporal Kenneth Small was parked and frantically told him about her 5-year-old daughter's condition. He quickly laid Eysley across the backseat and put his head to her chest. There was no heartbeat. She was gray and blue under her eyes. She was not breathing and she was cold and clammy. She was most certainly dead. Small immediately started doing CPR and chest compressions on the little girl. A minute passed. No response. Than another minute passed. Still nothing. But the trooper didn't give up. And he started whispering a prayer. “Lord, I need your help,” he said softly. A few seconds later, there was a faint cough from Eysley. He continued the CPR and the compressions... and the prayers. After a few more minutes, Eysley was coming back. By the time the ambulance arrived, Eysley was sitting up in his arms and crying. But she was Ok now. Eysley's mom gives the trooper all the credit for saving her daughter's life. 7. In another part of South Carolina... Okatie, to be exact, a woman's SUV broke down on busy Highway 170, stranding her and her autistic son. To make matters worse, temperatures hovered near 100 degrees. 10 minutes after calling for help, Trooper Adam Klimek arrived and had the two wait in his air-conditioned patrol car while they waited on a tow-truck. The trooper also let the boy watch a Curious George cartoon on his computer to calm him down. After the tow-truck came for the car, the trooper took the mother and her son to a cafe, and even gave the boy his hat and his badge. The mother was thrilled with her son's reaction and viewed the experience as an extremely positive one. 6. An unidentified man ran toward a bridge to jump off of it when Riverdale, New Jersey Police Sgt. Greg Bogert ran him down and tackled him. The man had been walking in traffic and was reported to police when Bogert responded to the scene. The man was restrained and taken to a hospital. 5. A few years ago, a little chihuahua got lost on a busy California highway. The little girl was stranded on the narrow edge of a highway median. Then Highway Patrol Officer Alex Edmond and his partner drove up and, with Animal Control Services, got the frightened dog to safety. She quickly had someone ready to adopt her. 4. A woman was driving along a California highway with her family when her car caught fire. Fortunately, Highway Patrol Officer Kaleo Clissold was following right behind them when it happened. He immediately used a loudspeaker to get the woman to pull over. When she did, the car was filled with smoke. Clissold rush to the car and quickly pulled out two young children from the back seat. Fortunately, everyone was ok, and the officer made a few new friends. Doctors cut MELON-sized hairball from teen’s stomach after she eats own hair - TomoNews

08:22
DEHRADUN, INDIA — Doctors in India have removed a melon-sized hairball weighing nearly four and half pounds from the stomach of a teenage girl. Aakansha Kumari, 16, had secretly been eating her own hair for years but her mom and dad didn’t realize anything was up until her weight dropped to just 30 pounds, the Mirror reported. With a stomach full of hair, the girl found it difficult to eat food and she kept vomiting. But it was only when doctors did an X-ray that the problem was revealed — a giant hairball the size of a melon, filling more than four fifths of her stomach. Kumari was diagnosed with trichophagia, a compulsive disorder in which people eat their own hair. Surgeons have successfully removed the hairball from her stomach and she is said to be doing much better now. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Amazing Green Parrot is Vegetarian Monk Parakeet

01:32
The parrot, also known as blonde, ajeru, Ajuru, jeru, is one of the many birds belonging to the order Psittaciformes, family Psittacidae, mainly of the genus Amazona. Some parrots are able to mimic sounds and even the human speech. The vegetarian monk parakeet or Argentina parrot is a species of bird in the family of parrots and distributed naturally from South America and has been introduced in many countries. It is prized as a pet; born in summer and make their nests at a height that can reach 10 meters. The vegetarian monk parrot is a bird that many years is sought as a pet, especially among Argentines. To this end, it is customary to bring down their nests in summer times where the chicks are removed (more than 30 per nest), and sold as young as possible, as early upbringing makes them more domesticated. The vegetarian monk Parakeet is mostly green and has the typical long tail parrot. The forehead is bluish-gray, the rest of the head and the chest are gray. The beak is light brown and the iris dark brown. vegetarian monk parakeets have a gray eye ring and gray feet. The wing feathers are blue and black, the under-wing light gray and pale blue. The tail feathers show up drawing a blue and green, the underside is lined with light green to light blue. Males and females are colored alike and externally indistinguishable. For clear distinction therefore a genetic or blood test must be used. vegetarian monk parakeets build in trees and palm trees large communal nests. This is a phenomenon among the parrot birds are cavity nesters in general. It is interesting that the nests are divided into "apartments", each inhabited by a couple. Each "apartment" in turn consists of several specialized chambers for sleeping, brooding and stay. This species is green, with touches of blue and gray. Its fast straight flight the treetops can make it difficult to observe. When on the ground, it has a characteristic and awkward gait. This vegetarian bird species is remarkable in that it is the only one of the parakeets that build large communal nests with multiple entries, made of branches and twigs, which can reach several meters in size. The vegetarian monk Parakeet is the only species of parrot that builds its own nest. All other group members ( parrots, macaws, etc.) nest in holes in tree hollows, ravines or termite mounds. The pairs of parakeets nest with the rest of his band and can form nests Community with a maximum of one meter in diameter and 200 kg in weight. Nests are cylindrical structures closed nests attached to the neighbors through the walls outside. The parakeets build their nests with sticks, in the higher branches of different trees. In nature, feeding the parakeets consists of fruits, vegetables, seeds, shrubs and grasses, flowers and buds, and even in captivity, it is not recommended to use food out of this pattern. In southern Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, the Monk Parakeet is considered pests in areas of cultivation of maize and sorghum and in orchards. With the disappearance of the forests where they lived, the parakeets started to look for food crops that now occupy their natural habitat. With easy food and phasing of their predators, such as hawks, the population of the species increased easily. Also in Europe there are breeding communities, particularly in Barcelona of Spain and Belgium . Were released at the beginning of the twentieth century in the parks of the city of Brussels and is nowadays possible to find them a significant part of urban green spaces. However begin to emerge possible sightings of the species in other nearby urban areas. The cultivation of eucalyptus, originating in Australia and introduced in Brazil between the years 1855 and 1870, also has an important role in the population explosion of parakeets. The Parakeet found in eucalyptus perfect place to nest, building nests in the upper branches of eucalyptus (10 meters high), eggs, chicks and adults are very well protected from attack by natural enemies and hindering population control by of man.

NJ Against hunting please read The Analysis Of Deer Management In NJ

02:28
Analysis of Deer Management In NJ http://www.protectnjanimals.com/ADMNJ.html Sadly for the people who wanted to use the park for peaceful and safe Sundays but now they should be in fear for bowkillers do not care for your life which is obvious for the do not give a damn about the life of the animals. All the bowkillers cared about is they get to kill an extra day and they will also tell you its about food (a big lie) because if it was about food they would not use a weapon so inefficient and inaccurate like the bow rather they use the shot gun. Most bowkillers kill for trophy and the deer are deliberately bred for the purpose of killing. They will try to tell you its about "reducing" population but bowhunting does nothing for "reducing" because of compansatroy rebound effect (they know this) deer will compnesate for the loss be giving birth to twins and sometimes triplets. Why do you think DVA are so high in NJ even after years and years of killing?. They reject birth control and instead wants to add more days of slaughter and the people will never have safety and peace and the death from DVA will continue to get worse. Bowkillers and the hunting public are the most selfish and heartless people there is. Bowhunting as a Deer Management Tool The use of bowhunting as a method to control deer population densities is ineffective: 􀂾 In a February 1988 report on bowhunting at Rock Cut State Park in Illinois, Department of Conservation biologist Tom Beissel, states: this report recognizes that bowhunting has never been an effective tool for deer control 􀂾 In Texas, which has more deer than any other state, Parks and Wildlife biologist Horace Gore comments: You cannot call bowhunting a population control measure, it is a recreational pursuit. In fact, he adds: We do not advocate bowhunting when the objective is controlling the population. 􀂾 According to John Parker, Area Wildlife Manager for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, only 3 deer were killed from the 29 bow permits issued in the 1989 bow hunt in the Minnesota River Valley Area. 􀂾 Larry Gillette, Wildlife Biologist for Hennepin Parks, acknowledges that bowhunters fail to retrieve a substantial number of deer they shoot and does not advise the use of archery hunting to control deer populations. 􀂾 The Eagan City Council decided in 1993 not to allow bowhunting. This was largely due to FATEs (Friends of Animals and Their Environment) efforts. An article in Bowhunters Hotline (Sept. 1993) regarding Eagans decision reported that the Mayor of Eagan had supported bowhunting in the past; however, his mind was changed about the sport due to the information provided by FATE. The Mayor of Eagan, Tom Egan was quoted in the article as saying: FATE provided me with a lot of valuable information, and I have always supported bowhunting, but I no longer feel the rationale that its an efficient management tool outweighs the safety and cruelty aspects. Also, the Mayor was reported as saying: I think if we set loose every bowhunter in Eagan, we still wouldnt reduce the deer population, and the city would be less safe. He added: It isnt feasible for every bowhunter to shoot and retrieve five deer. They might each shoot and wound five, but not shoot and recover five. The above listed items clearly show the inefficiencies and ineffectiveness of bowhunting as a population control method and deer management tool. Will mankind choose to live at peace with Deer? What you can do to appose hunting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlzCzmMJ59M&feature=channel_page My anti-hunting blogger with so much information for the non-killing public to learn because I am sure the sports hunters already know their own corruption . http://mathew5-7.blogspot.com/2009/04/what-is-compensatory-rebound-effect-and.html

United Bowhunters of New Jersey leave carnage and bloodshed in 09's season

05:05
The United Bowhunters of NJ has left behind an carnage of wounded deer and bloodshed in Essex County Park and also in Passaic County Park NJ in 2009 deer killing season. The people were outraged! Last year NJ allowed killing of wildlife on Sundays plus they have narrowed the buffer zone to mere 50 yards from peoples homes. NJ Fish and Wildlife is a sham they are run by hunters dictating how our wildlife is "managed" and as you can see it's in a very sloppy and horrificly cruel manner plus how much can the non-hunting public enjoy the forest without fear as the wildlife serial killers continue to terrorize our forest every fall? Please read up more on the reality of NJ Fish and Wildlife and also the horrific cruelty that is part of bowhunting.
