How to Reduce Allergy, Ghee (Clarified Butter) Benefits
How to Reduce Allergy, Prevent Heart Disease and How to Heal Your digestive System Ghee (Clarified Butter) Benefits Reduces Allergy Since ghee is dairy-free (having had all of the dairy residue simmered off), lactose intolerant individuals or those who cannot consume butter are free to enjoy the flavorful treat of “butter” in the form of ghee without worrying about the gastrointestinal problems that normally follow. Health Benefits of Ghee Ghee may actually be protective against heart disease. Ghee is rich in conjugated linoleic acid, or CLA, a fatty acid known to be protective against carcinogens, artery plaque and diabetes. Because of these benefits, researchers say ghee can potentially be used to help prevent cardiovascular diseases. Ghee can help heal your digestive tract. Good digestion is the key to good health, and if you’re dealing with any sort of digestive issues, healing your gut lining is an important first step. Ghee is rich in butyric acid, a short-chain fatty acid that nourishes the cells of the intestines. Ghee can last for months, or even years, without refrigeration, which made it very popular throughout history, before modern times and refrigeration.

Food for Good Gut Bacteria w/ Drs Justin & Erica Sonnenburg
Episode #81: Drs  Justin and Erica Sonnenburg are two top microbial scientists at Stanford University and author of The Good Gut. In this interview these two pioneers share diet tips from their work at Stanford that can help you increase the diversity of the trillions of bacterial organisms in your gut, boost your metabolism and reduce inflammation. The Good Gut Book: http://amzn.to/1SYkEeB Read the Interview Show Notes: http://highintensityhealth.com/justin-erica-sonnenburg-top-foods-to-fuel-healthy-gut-bacteria/ --------------------------------------Lets Connect---------------------------------- ➢ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/MikeMutzelMS ➢ Listen to the Audio in iTunes: http://highintensityhealth.com/itunes ➢ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/metabolic_mike --------------------------------------Key Takeaways--------------------------------- 2:29 The Power of Microbes: Over the past decade there has been an awakening about the gut, microbiome and genetics. Microbes connect in major ways to human biology with digestion, metabolism, systemic immune function and central nervous system. There is no part of our body that is not touched, directly or indirectly, by these microbes in some way. 4:32 Microbial Digestion: Gut microbes rely upon complex carbohydrates (dietary fiber) to complete their functions in the gut. They digest our resistant complex polysaccharides that come from plant material; fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains. At the same time, they release compounds into our gut that are soaked into our bloodstream that do things like help maintain our immune system balance and help us decide whether we are storing calories or burning them. 5:56 Feed Your Microbes: High fiber foods feed your microbes. The Sonnenburgs make sure that their family consumes high fiber foods at every meal. 7:30 Microbial Diversity – The Jelly Bean Analogy: Think of each species of gut bacteria as a color of jelly bean. The Western diet will be a simple mix of a few colors. Modern day hunter gatherers or those who live similarly to those at the beginning of agriculture, have many more colors of jelly beans. They have species of gut bacteria that are not seen in the Western world. In the environment, if an ecosystem loses its diversity, it’s a bad thing. Potentially, that is the case with our microbial ecosystem? 9:25 A Skewed Perspective of Microbes: Research has primarily focused on Westerners, but now research is looking into populations around the globe. The NIH Human Microbiome Project spent years working to determine what a healthy microbiota is and working to determine how the microbiome changes in different disease states. 10:20 Microbiota, a Key Player in Disease: Just because someone is healthy, doesn’t mean they have a healthy microbiota. Evidence is building that shows that most Americans have unhealthy gut microbiota, which predisposes us to many Western diseases. Metabolic syndrome, heart disaease, autoimmune diseases, cancers, and the like, are all become more prevalent. It is possible that there are individual causes for these diseases, but more likely, that there are only a few causes and that gut microbiota is central of them. 11:54 Traditional Societies: Humans have spent 95% of our time on the earth as hunter gatherers. By looking at hunter gatherer societies today, we can get a better understanding of what our gut microbiota is supposed to be. 13:39 The High MAC Diet: Microbiota Accessible Carbohydrates are dietary fiber that we consume to feed our microbiota. Tubers eaten by hunter gatherers have not been modified by agriculture, making it texturally and nutritionally different from what we eat. Since we cannot recreate the diet of hunter gatherers, we can eat lots of different foods, including tubers, along with berries and leafy greens and increase fiber to diversify and sustain our microbiota. 15:56 Polyphenols: When researching the impact of plant fiber, it is challenging for researchers to parse out the other benefits of the consumption of plants. In general, Westerners should eat more plants that contain complex dietary fibers, not only to feed their microbiota, but to garner the other benefits. 18:01 Fiber Consumption Comparison: Hunter gatherers consume about 150 – 200 grams per day of dietary fiber. In the U.S., we struggle to eat 15 grams per day. If you starve the microbes in the gut, they begin to consume the mucus lining of your digestive tract. 19:32 Short Chain Fatty Acids Created By Our Microbiota: Acetate, propionate, and butyrate are the major ones. In mice, propionate has been shown to be a regulator of metabolism. Butyrate and propionate have shown in mice to be a regulator of inflammation. They may also play a role in satiety. One day we will have enough information to match our foods to specific microbes in our gut. Increase dietary fiber, to increase short chain fatty acids.

FORTIFY healthy intestinal flora SLOW RELEASE capsule for targeted colon release PREBIOTIC BENEFITS for optimal gut health CREATE A HEALTHY MICROBIOME Balance and Improve Digestive health Your gut microbiome contains good bacteria that are essential to digest fiber from your diet and make short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). SCFAs, especially butyrate and propionate, are fundamental to your healthy microbiome balance, digestive health and maximizing your nutrient absorption. When your gut microbiome is imbalanced your body doesn’t get the short chain fatty acids that it needs. Biome Equal is a unique dietary supplement specially formulated with a slow-release capsule to deliver a unique blend of the naturally occurring short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) butyric acid (butyrate) and propionic acid (propionate), where your body needs them. We recommend starting out with 1 capsule taken up to three times per day with meals. All the Benefits Without the Bacteria! Short-chain fatty acids are among the most important products of the gut microbiome. They affect a range of physiological processes including energy utilization, communication between human and microbial cells, and control of acid levels in the colon. These effects have consequences on the composition of the gut microbiome and general colon health. Most of the beneficial activities of bacteria are associated with their metabolites (postbiotics). The great thing about postbiotics is that you get all the benefits without the bacteria! The main benefits of postbiotics are: Safer: no harmful bacterial components, Host Reproducibility: no need for bacterial growth or colonization, Efficacy: higher concentration of active components. I’ve only heard about butyrate, why is propionate Included? There are three main SCFAs made by the gut microbiome: Acetate, butyrate, and propionate. In many studies looking at the roles of SCFAs in health, the three main intestinal SCFA have a protective effect. However, butyrate AND propionate exert larger effects than acetate. These effects have been seen in the regulation of appetite, inflammation and the protection of the delicate intestinal wall. We Understand Your Microbiome At ThinkBiome we understand that the microbes living on and within our bodies are critical to our health and well-being. The use of antibiotics in modern medicine has saved countless lives from pathogenic microorganisms, but the problem is that antibiotics also harm the good bacteria in and on our bodies. Our prebiotic, probiotic and postbiotic supplements help you restore your gut bacteria so that you can get your health, and your life, back on track! How to Fix Your Gut Bacteria for Weight Loss: Prebiotics and Probiotics- Thomas DeLauer
How to Fix Your Gut Bacteria for Weight Loss with Prebiotics and Probiotics- Thomas DeLauer: Microorganisms and gut health: Gut health is important for our overall wellbeing. Known as the microbiota, consisting of 100 trillion bacteria, these microorganisms evolved a symbiotic relationship with humans. A healthy gut microbiota is critical for gut health and proper digestions and helps digest foods and provide nutrients while stimulating epithelial cell differentiation and proliferation. These cells regulate intestinal homeostasis, Induce antimicrobial peptide secretion, are intricately involved in the immune system and help to protect from pathogens in our guts. Imbalances in gut microbiota have been associated with: -Obesity and metabolic diseases -Malnourishment -Inflammatory diseases, such as asthma and Crohn’s disease -Allergies -HIV disease progression -Cancer -Depression and mood disorders -Cardiovascular health problems Dangers to the microbiota include: 1. Antibiotics 2. Triclosan in antibacterial gel and soap products 3. Diet low in fiber and high in unhealthy fats and processed foods So how do we help boost the health and diversity of our microbiotas? Probiotics and Prebiotics…. Probiotics are defined by the World Health Organization as “live microorganisms that can provide benefits to human health when administered in adequate amounts, which confer a beneficial health effect on the host.” There are numerous studies that demonstrate the benefits of supplementing with probiotics. Benefits found in studies include the prevention and treatment of: -Diarrhea -Pediatric allergic disorders -IBD, such as Crohn’s disease -Dysfunctions of the gastrointestinal tract -Prevention of respiratory tract infections, such as a cold Probiotic use has been shown to decrease intestinal permeability. Prebiotics are dietary fibers that have a positive impact on our gut microbiota and therefore our health. All prebiotics are fibers, but not all fibers are prebiotics. Prebiotics are food for probiotics, and it is through this mechanism that they play an important role in our health. Insulin and galacto-oligosaccharides are the only supplement ingredients that fulfil the definition of prebiotics. Once in the colon, prebiotics are fermented by microorganisms that live in the colon and form short chain fatty acids (SCFAs). The majority of organisms in the colon are anaerobic and get the energy they need from this fermentation of prebiotics. Our diet is of crucial importance in maintaining a healthy microbiota as different microorganisms require different food from our diets to thrive. The anti-inflammatory effects of fiber are likely due to the SCFAs that they are broken into when fermented by our microbiota. Tips: In addition to eating an organic, whole foods diet, it is a good idea to add in prebiotic and probiotic supplements. Foods high in prebiotics: 1. Asparagus 2. Garlic 3. Onions 4. Oats 5. Soy Beans 6. Leeks Foods high in probiotics (fermented foods): 1. Yogurts 2. Miso 3. Tempeh 4. Kimchi 5. Kombucha Synbiotics are synergistic combinations of probiotics and prebiotics. Switching your probiotic supplement is a good idea. Different strains provide different health benefits, even with strains of the same genus and species exhibiting different effects. Probiotics can be dangerous for those with compromised immune systems. References: 1. The 10 Best Anti-Inflammatory Foods To Keep On Hand. Inflammation has become an absolute epidemic. Sure, at its most basic, it's our body's response to outside irritants, a natural part of our immune system without which our wounds wouldn't heal. But thanks to increasingly high stress levels and an over-reliance on processed foods, many of us are plagued with chronic inflammation—the nasty variety that disrupts the body's natural balance, upping the risk for everything from acne and allergies, to intestinal issues, neurological disorders, autoimmune diseases, and joint pain. If there's any silver lining, though, it's that countering inflammation and its host of negative side effects can be as simple (not to mention delicious) as eating fewer foods that come in a package and more nourishing whole foods that fight inflammation-triggering free radicals and toxins. Here are 10 of the very best to keep in rotation. Olive oil is a rich source of polyphenols, which provide both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. Try to use extra-virgin olive oil for most of your cooking. More than 70% of its fat content comes from a monounsaturated fat called oleic acid, which has been found to help lower blood pressure, reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol, and increase HDL (good) cholesterol, among other heart-healthy properties. Herbs and spices are packed with health-promoting phytonutrients, they add complexity to dishes, and they can take the place of excessive salt or sugar—both of which can promote inflammation. Some stand-out picks: cinnamon, which has been shown to reduce bloating and stabilize blood sugar; turmeric, which packs proven anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties; oregano, which has antibiotic properties; and rosemary and lavender, which have been shown to calm anxiety and ease pain. These and other short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides (scFOS) such as leeks, asparagus, jicama, artichokes, and Jerusalem artichokes are delicious sources of sweet low-cal carbs. Since these foods aren't fully digested in the gut, the remaining material feeds the good bacteria living in our intestines, resulting in a healthier gut—and it's through this process that they boost the immune system and lower inflammation. Dark chocolate—70% cocoa or more—may be the one truly guilt-free dessert. Research has shown it improves blood flow, helps reduce blood pressure, and improves the body's response to a carbohydrate-heavy meal by improving insulin sensitivity, thereby helping prevent the onset of diabetes if consumed regularly in small quantities, or about 1 oz per day. Avocados boast major benefits, thanks to their star nutrients: mono- and polyunsaturated fats, phytosterols, alpha-linolenic acid, and carotenoids. Research shows that avocados reduce inflammation, blood sugar, and cholesterol and lessen the pain associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. They're even a great replacement for oils and fats—use mashed avocado wherever you'd typically spread butter or mayo. Cruciferous veggies include arugula, bok choy, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, kale, kohlrabi, mustard greens, and watercress. These vegetables are packed with sulforaphanes, which offset inflammation by enhancing hase two detoxification in the liver. Multiple studies have also found that compounds in these vegetables called glucosinolates have potent anticancer properties. Any way you squeeze it, citrus fruits like clementines, grapefruits, lemons, limes, and oranges are health heroes. Due to their high water content, any type of citrus will provide hydration and electrolytes to thirsty bodies. Citrus flavonoids have also been shown to neutralize free radicals, potentially preventing the growth of cancer cells. Their inflammation-fighting properties are found in the skin as well as the juice and flesh—so don't forget to use that zest! Organic and grass-fed free-range animals are healthier, and their meat offers you better nutritional value. In fact, pasture-raised chickens, pigs, lambs, and cows have higher levels of anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids and lower levels of pro-inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids than corn-fed animals. Research even shows less disease among people who opt for meat from grass-fed animals over conventional. Many doctors call eggs the "perfect food," given their high content of protein, vitamins A and B, and biotin. Eggs help offset inflammation because they contain the potent carotenoids zeaxanthin and lutein (both good for vision), as well as choline (good for brain and heart function). The first rule for enjoying these oval powerhouses is to always buy organic—and preferably "pasture-raised"—as these have higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids.

Crohns Disease & Prebiotics
https://www.prebiotin.com If you are suffering from Crohn's disease and dysbiosis (an imbalance of gut bacteria), it is important that you eat mostly foods high in insoluble fiber and prebiotics to combat the harmful effects of bad bacteria in your colon. By consuming prebiotic foods and taking prebiotic supplements, you will be helping the good bacteria in your gut reproduce exponentially to enrich your colon wall. Discover the many benefits of prebiotics if you have Crohn's disease by watching this video by gastroenterologist Dr. Frank W. Jackson. Symptoms and Causes of Crohn's Disease Crohn’s disease is a chronic condition included in the spectrum of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs). Crohn's disease primarily affects the ileum — the end of your small intestine — and the beginning of your colon — the large intestine. However, Crohn's disease may also affect other areas of your GI tract. (Note: Ulcerative colitis, which presents symptoms similar to Crohn's, only affects the colon). According to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America website, symptoms of Crohn's disease varies among individuals but typically involve: • Bleeding from the rectum • Abdominal pain and cramping • Persistent diarrhea that does not respond to medication • Constipation that sometimes leads to bowel obstruction • Urgent need to have a bowel movement • Fever, fatigue, appetite loss and rapid weight loss In addition to genetics and environmental factors, dysbiosis is highly suspected of aggravating Crohn's disease. This serious imbalance of gut bacteria develops when you have more bad bacteria in your gut than good bacteria. Since 70 percent of your immune system is supported by your colon and small intestine, this imbalance impedes the normal functioning of your immune system. Causes of dysbiosis include stress, illness, undetected food allergies and overuse of antibiotics. While antibiotics are useful for fighting infections, these drugs also kill the good bacteria necessary for optimal gut and immune system health. More often than not, antibiotics are not necessary to overcome less invasive infections. A healthy immune system sustained by an optimal balance of gut bacteria may be all that is necessary to defeat an illness. Food Additives and Crohn's Disease Food additives, especially toxic substances called emulsifiers, destroy the protective mucous layer within the colon and small intestine. Emulsifiers are chemical additives designed to extend the shelf life of perishable foods and improve the texture of food. Common emulsifiers found in foods include xanthan gum, guar gum, polysorbate 80, lecithin, hypromellose and carboxymethyl cellulose. Studies have shown that emulsifiers disturb the balance of bacteria in your gut and produce the same kind of intestinal inflammation associated with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and metabolic syndrome. To avoid consuming emulsifiers, always read the ingredient label. Dr. Jackson says that if you find an ingredient you've never heard of listed on a food label, it is probably an emulsifier. Relieve Symptoms of Crohn's Disease With Prebiotics Prebiotics are non-digestible fiber compounds that move through your colon and support the growth and activity of good bacteria in your intestines. Raw chicory, dandelion greens, raw garlic, onions, wheat bran and raw asparagus are some of the foods that contain prebiotics. Prebiotics are not only necessary for good gut health, but probiotics also need them to sustain their activity as well. In addition, research has demonstrated that prebiotics increase production of short-chain fatty acids essential for colon health. Exhibiting strong, anti-inflammatory properties, short-chain fatty acids are your colon's primary source of energy and enrich colon functioning. Please watch: "No-Diet, No-Exercise – Drink This Magical Water TO EASY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT DRINK" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pluzn_ZfT5g -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- The most up to date research has revealed that the balance of our gut bacteria plays a large role in our metabolism. Many studies are even showing that changes in our gut flora are highly correlating with obesity and other metabolic disorders (4). Remember that girl that seemed to be able to eat EVERYTHING and not gain a pound? We always assumed that she just had a rock star metabolism. How many people do you know (you may be one of them) who has “done everything right” and still not lost weight? This weight loss resistance is becoming more and more common. Function of The Gut Bacteria The type and the amount of each species present plays a large role in how lean or obese we are as well as our risk factors for developing diabetes amongst other related metabolic disorders. Your gut bacteria does the following: Controls the amount of calories you extract from foods Causes cravings Extracts nutrients such as B12 from our foods. Produces short chain fatty acids It should be noted that the only way to properly extract these fatty acids is by having the appropriate bacteria present in the gut. If we are lacking these bacteria, we will lack the ability to produce these short chain fatty acids and get the benefits that were mentioned above. A Medicinal Diet: May Be Key to Reducing Type 1 Diabetes Risk.
A Medicinal Diet: May Be Key to Reducing Type 1 Diabetes Risk. A medicinal diet that increases good bacteria in our gut may be key to reducing the risk of type 1 diabetes, a common chronic disease in children. Research led by Monash University has shown for the first time that a special combination of fermentable fiber can stop mice from developing diabetes. Fiber could be taken as a powder dusted in food, and there are ongoing plans for a trial in humans in the hope of preventing autoimmune disease or reducing patient dependence on medication. Developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization and refined by the university, combination of the resistant starch diet is broken down by intestinal bacteria to produce the acetate of short chain fatty acids and butyrate. These metabolites are becoming a key part of keeping the immune system healthy. We believe that the metabolites have anti-inflammatory effects and that they do remarkable things in the main diseases we only look at: cardiovascular diseases, food allergies, inflammatory bowel disease and asthma. #Diet #metabolites #diseases #allergies #antiinflammatories #bacteria #Research #Organization #immunesystem #health #humans #medication #food #scientists #autoimmune #ymasciencia

The Truth about Candida: what works, what doesn't
Candida Albicans is more than just yeast- for most people, it's already mutated into a more aggressive fungal form that eats holes through the intestinal tract causing many of todays health problems like food allergies, autoimmune disorders, Crohn's disease, IBS, low energy and many more aggressive diseases. People need to know what it is and what to do about it. TheHealthyLife: http://www.markusworld.com/thehealthylife/cand Our Raw Vegan Health Cookbook: http://www.markusworld.com/healthycookbook/cand Facebook: http://www.markusworld.com/facebook/cand Instagram: http://www.markusworld.com/instagram/cand Markus Rothkranz website: http://www.markusworld.com/Markus/cand Online Health Store: http://www.markusworld.com/products/cand German website: http://www.markusworld.com/german/cannd Candida’s function is to serve as a backup digestive system when our primary system becomes overwhelmed. Candida metabolizes “dead” material in our bodies; material that is too difficult or toxic for our digestive systems to handle. A healthy immune system keeps our Candida under control and in its yeast form as opposed to the Candida getting out of control and digressing to its fungal state. Antibiotics are one cause of our Candida getting out of control. Sugar, flour, breads, and the like facilitate an unhealthy Candida. Once your Candida gets to the fungal state it generates “Hyphae” which ultimately cause its fingerlike projections to dig into our intestines affecting the permeability of the intestinal walls. Among other things, that can result into “Leaky Gut” and cause very serious health conditions. Eating the right kinds of foods such as fruits, and uncooked vegetables will keep our Candida in perfect balance. The main thing that overgrowth of our Candida causes is damage to our intestinal walls.. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0944501313000293 The intestinal tract is an important site for C. albicans dissemination. The mechanisms that allow C. albicans to break through the intestinal mucosal barrier are quite complex…. Stop feeding the Candida with sugar, bread, pastas, flour, pastries, etc… http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/69/6/1170.full Abstract. Conclusions: The effect of adding a high amount of refined carbohydrates to the diet of healthy human subjects has a limited influence on Candida colonization. Probiotics breaks down the sugars to a fermentation state https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4982648/ Because yeast feeds on carbohydrates, a food plan must be followed that starves yeast of its main fuel: simple sugars. Additional support in the form of healthy bacteria, called Probiotics, is also used to compete with Candida in the intestines, resulting in a rebalancing of the microflora. Best way to build up your Probiotics is fiber ….or Prebiotics. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17472874 Microecology of the gastrointestinal tract is the physiologic basis for the effect of dietary fiber, prebiotics and probiotics on the host. The ecology consists of the gastrointestinal tract, primarily the intestines, the foods that are fed into the tract, and the flora living within. Within this ecology, normal flora and probiotics, ferment dietary fiber and prebiotics to produce short chain fatty acids and substances that are absorbed and effect the host at the intestinal level and systemically. In this review, we will discuss the effects of prebiotics, probiotics and dietary fiber in gastrointestinal disorders and diseases. Best fibers are vegetable fibers https://www.researchgate.net/publication/232352100_Dietary_fiber_composition_of_common_vegetables_and_fruits_in_Malaysia Dietary fiber analyses were carried out using Southgate's method, Southgate, 1978, on 15 types of leafy vegetables and five types each of fruit-vegetables, leguminous vegetables and fruits. The non-cellulosic fractions were always higher than the cellulosic and lignin fraction. Total dietary fiber contents were highest in leguminous vegetables, 3·3–6·8 g/100 g, followed by the leafy vegetables, 1·2–4·8 g/100 g, and finally, the fruit-vegetables, 1·4–4·2 g/100 g. The fiber contents of fruit samples were relatively low, 1·5–2·9 g/100 g. In comparison with crude fiber values, the dietary fiber values were always higher. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3163673/ http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0304394016300775 http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1319016413000819 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3705355/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16705580 http://www.nationalcandidacenter.com/What-Causes-Candida-Yeast-Infection-s/1825.htm

Coconut Oil Is Pure Poison | Truth About Coconut Oil
Coconut Oil Is Poison | You Should Know About Coconut Oils Side Effects | Truth About Coconut Oil .. #coconutoil #coconutoilpurepoison #coconutoilpoison #Treatment #Health There are also potential negative coconut oil side effects that we didn’t know about. Check out some of the surprising side effects of ingesting coconut oil 1. Diarrhea . Can coconut oil cause diarrhea? Well, coconut oil is usually taken orally to fight internal bacterial infection. This process of destroying the bacteria can lead to certain short-term side effects. And one of them is diarrhea. There could be other related symptoms too. 2. High Cholesterol Levels. As per a report by the Harvard Medical School, coconut oil may not be as healthy as other vegetable oils with regard to cholesterol levels. Though coconut oil can boost good cholesterol levels, it may not be preferred to other healthy vegetable oils. 3. Acne Breakout . This is more likely to happen to individuals with excessively oily skin. The lauric acid in coconut usually helps in killing the acne-causing bacteria. But this is in the case of skin that is not very oily. Otherwise, there could be a problem. 4. Allergies . Though not as prevalent as other forms of allergies, coconut oil does cause allergies if one is sensitive to it. Some of the allergic reactions include nausea, rashes, eczema, hives, vomiting, and anaphylaxis. 5. Might Harm The Heart . According to the American Heart Association, eating fewer saturated fats and more of unsaturated fats is the best way to prevent heart disease. And coconut oil, being higher in saturated fats, could harm the heart. 6. Thyroid . The belief that coconut oil can cure an underactive thyroid is just that, a belief. And not a fact. This is because there is insufficient evidence as to how effective coconut oil can be in enhancing thyroid health . 7. Headache . Individuals undertaking detoxification using coconut oil often experience headaches. This happens when the medium-chain fatty acids in coconut oil break down the yeast cells , thereby releasing a wave of fungal toxins into the bloodstream. There are two sides to every coin. This famous adage implies that there’s both good and bad side to every ingredient. Coconut oil is no exception. 10 Unexpected Benefits of Using Coconut Oil | 10 Ways to Use Coconut Oil :- https://youtu.be/X3smmETjoYI -------------------------------------------- Images are licensed under CC, ------------------------------------------- Blog : https://webhealthremedy.blogspot.com/ Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/Health-Remed... 8 High-Protein Plant Foods For Weight Loss & A Boost Of Energy
8 High-Protein Plant Foods For Weight Loss & A Boost Of Energy Most people think that animal foods contain the highest levels of protein, ounce for ounce, but some plant protein sources even outshine meat. Check out this recipe to see how it’s done. Plants are lower in fat and higher in micronutrients such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. If your body is getting enough protein, you’ll be able to build lean muscle, burn fat, and lose weight. Here are 8 high-protein plant foods you should add to your diet: 1. Spirulina This “micro-algae” powder is a complete protein source. Just one tablespoon contains 4 grams! Ounce for ounce, it’s the highest protein source of any food–even meat! It’s also a great source of other nutrients, including B vitamins, potassium, copper, iron, and magnesium. Studies have shown that spirulina can help balance blood sugar levels. Spirulina also contains anti-inflammatory properties that can help keep your body healthy and energized. 2. Goji Berry Another source of all the amino acids your body needs, Goji berries contain 12 grams of protein per cup. Ranked the #1 superfood in Chinese medicine, this superfruit is packed with Vitamin C and essential amino acids the body needs to stay healthy and strong. Goji berries also contain free-radical scavenging antioxidants that are believed to help protect the body from cancer. And they taste good! Grab a handful as a quick between-meal snack to keep energy levels up. 3. Bee Pollen Sure, Bee Pollen isn’t a plant, but it comes from the noble essence of the flowers and trees all around us. More than just a complete protein, bee pollen contains over 5,000 enzymes that help support a healthy immune system. Just about every nutrient the human body needs can be found in bee pollen. It’s considered to be the most complete food found in nature! 4. Hemp Seeds Hemp seeds are a high-quality plant protein source. They contain 11 grams of protein per 3 tablespoons. The protein is highly digestible, and the seeds also contain fiber, which helps promote healthy digestion. The omega-3 fatty acids in hemp seeds support brain development and heart health. 5. Broccoli Whether you love it or you hate it, broccoli provides a higher protein content than many other vegetables. One cup of broccoli contains 2.6 grams of protein, along with essential amino acids. Broccoli provides anti-inflammatory benefits for the body, and its antioxidants can help stimulate a liver detox to keep things running smoothly. 6. Asparagus One cup of asparagus contains 2.9 grams of protein. It also contains B vitamins, copper, magnesium and vitamins A and K. Asparagus, known for both anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, also contains compounds that help stimulate the growth of friendly intestinal bacteria, to keep your gut happy and healthy. 7. Brussels Sprouts One cup of Brussels sprouts contains 3 grams of protein and 3.3 grams of fiber. Brussels sprouts are also rich in folate, magnesium, potassium, iron, and calcium. Studies have shown that Brussels sprouts can promote the growth of healthy intestinal bacteria and stimulate the production of short-chain fatty acids in the gut. 8. Cauliflower One cup of cauliflower contains 2 grams of protein and only 25 calories. Cauliflower is high in a compound called sinigrin, believed to have anti-cancer, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. Cauliflower is also a great source of Vitamin K, Vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and iron. https://youtu.be/muejt_wtFzM

Keto Coffee Recipe: Better than Bulletproof Coffee: Thomas DeLauer
Be Sure To Subscribe For 3x Videos Per Week! http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Get My Discounted MCT Oil Here: https://www.perfectketo.com/thomas/c8 Keto Coffee Recipe: Better than Bulletproof Coffee: Thomas DeLauer Ingredients: - MCT Oil - Ghee - Cacao powder - Coffee MCT Oil Medium chain triglycerides (MCT’s) are unique fatty acids that are found naturally in coconut and palm oils. They are able to stabilize blood sugar and enhance ketone body production, which makes them a powerful tool to reduce inflammation, improve metabolism and enhance cognitive function Medium chain triglycerides are those that contain between 6 and 12 carbon chains. There are four main types of MCTs: C6 (Caproic Acid) – There isn’t a high quantity of C6 fatty acids in coconut oil, which might be a good thing. Despite being a ready source of ketone energy for your body, it has been found that too much can cause throat irritation and gastrointestinal distress C8 (Caprylic Acid) – This is a rare type of MCT and useful for energy via ketone metabolism. C10 (Capric Acid) – Another major MCT is C10 - considered a useful tool for energy metabolism because (like other MCTs) does not require bile salts for digestive purposes. In short, it’s easy to digest and convert to energy (1) Benefits Digestion and Energy MCTs are easily digested and do not require the production and utilization of bile. The mitochondria are small organs within your cells that are responsible for producing all the energy needed by your tissues. Fatty acids produce energy in the mitochondria but are dependent upon the L-carnitine compound in order for entry. MCTs provide immediate energy because they are able to cross the double mitochondrial membrane very rapidly and do not require the presence of carnitine This results in the production of excess acetyl-coA which breaks down into ketones. The rapid formation of ketone bodies gives immediate energy to the brain and body MCTs act similar to carbs in that they provide an immediate energy source. However, MCTs don’t raise blood sugar or increase insulin levels as carbs do Weight Loss Compared to other types of oils and fats, MCTs seem to have positive effects on fat burning and weight reduction as it helps increase satiety and even raise the metabolic rate at which the body functions. Studies demonstrate that dietary MCTs suppress fat deposition through enhanced thermogenesis and fat oxidation, helping the body produce ketones Ghee Ghee is very similar to clarified butter or butter oil. It’s made by heating butter or milk fat until the liquid fats separate from the milk solids. But unlike clarified butter, the oil is strained and then continues heating until it turns a golden brown color. This caramelization gives ghee a distinct nutty taste, and the entire process removes the milk proteins, sugars, and water. Once the process is complete, ghee is nearly 100 percent fat. Benefits Dairy Free Butter is almost pure fat, but it still has trace amounts of casein and lactose, the two parts of dairy that most often cause allergies. Casein is what gives butter its wonderful creaminess. Ghee has either no casein or lactose or a vanishingly small amount, meaning even very dairy-sensitive people can usually eat it Ghee is more nutrient-dense than butter Really good ghee has a deep yellow-orange color that reflects its high vitamin A content. It’s also got a respectable dose of vitamins D, E, and K, and has twice the short- and medium-chain fatty acids that butter has. On top of that, ghee has more butyrate, an anti-inflammatory fat that keeps you gut lining and metabolism in good shape Cacao Raw cacao is the purest form of chocolate you can consume and is different from the common "Cocoa" Cacao refers to the Theobroma Cacao tree from which Cocoa is derived, and is used when referring to unprocessed versions of the cacao bean. How To Test For Leaky Gut Syndrome
Greetings. New Zealand naturopath, Eric Bakker, author of Candida Crusher and formulator of the Canxida range of dietary supplements. I’m going to talk about how to test for leaky gut syndrome. A common test that is performed by many naturopaths is the lactulose-mannitol test, so these are two sugars that are not really digested in the body. You basically take them in and pass them out. You drink a mixture of these two sugars, and the urine is collected for six hours thereafter. Lactulose is the larger sugar and you shouldn’t really pass that out through the urine. If you’re going to pass that out, it means that you’ve got permeability of the small intestine. So that’s one simple way to find out if you’ve got leaky gut syndrome or not. Quite an impressive test to do. If you’re interested in doing a test, you can contact your naturopath or your health care provider to find out. Stool testing is another way I can really pick up leaky gut with patients by looking at the bacteria, at the IGA, and many other different markers that will show me what type of digestive function the patient has. And generally, most patients I see with chronic Candida have got leaky gut syndrome. Usually, I’ll do the stool test up front and not worry too much about the leaky gut test. It’s more important for me to get all the facts pertaining to the case, and particularly to get the bacterial balance right to see how high their IGA is, if their immune system is upregulated or downregulated. Also, to see what the amylase is, the pancreatic enzyme, we can pick up in the stool. And we can pick the colon health up. We can look at what we call short chain fatty acids or products of bacterial fermentation. We can see that in the stool results as well. The whole health of the gut is important to me, not just the small intestine. But if you want to know if you have got leaky gut syndrome, just do the lactulose and mannitol test. It’s quite a simple test to do. Build immunity with Desi Ghee | Benefits of Desi Ghee
Build immunity with Desi Ghee. Health Benefits of Ghee Energy Enhancer Immunity Booster Anti–Allergic properties Anti-Inflammatory Properties Antioxidant properties Ghee is full of health benefits. Medium chain fatty acids present in Ghee are useful for body and can be processed by liver and burnt as energy. Ghee is considered to be a powerful combo food with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, which promote an alkaline environment in the body, which help body to protect it against any disease due to climate change. People have allergy to dairy products, can easliy consume Ghee without any problem, since it is lactose and casein free. Ghee Reduces Inflammation. Ghee is a rich source of butyric acid that is a short-chain fatty acid. This acid is connected to an immune response that can help in lowering inflammation and improving the digestive system. Ghee also aids in the stimulation of stomach acid secretion, which, in turn, helps with the proper digestion of food. As mentioned in IndiaToday* ghee can benefit your health in the most amazing ways. It is helpful in reducing accumulation of toxins found in metals like lead and mercury. According to gomataseva.org, it is also one of the best substances to prepare the body for internal detoxification, or what is called Panchakarma in Ayurveda. Applying a thin layer of ghee to the inner wall of your nostrils will prevent the entrance of pollutants present in the air you breathe. Called Nasya Karma, this practice also clears the nasal passages, thus preventing congestion, suggests ayurvedaplusworld.com This in turn, will save you from contracting diseases like asthma or other respiratory disorders, especially at a time like this. Backpacking food:How to make Ghee
PLEASE READ! Great For Cooking and Taste 1. Ghee has a high smoke point (250 °C 482 °F). You can cook and fry with ghee and it will not break down into free radicals like many other oils. 2. Ghee does not spoil easily so does not need refrigeration. Some ghee mixtures last up to 100 years. 3. Buttery taste without causing dairy allergies. Ghee is made from butter but the milk solids and impurities have been removed so most people who are lactose or casein intolerant have no issue with ghee. 4. Ghee is rich in the oil soluble vitamins A and E. 5. Ghee is rich in K2 and CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) – an antioxidant with anti-viral properties if it is sourced from grass fed cows. 6. Ghee is Nutritionally Rich Like Coconut Oil Ghee is rich in medium chain fatty acids which are absorbed directly to the liver (like carbs) and burnt as energy. Athletes can use ghee as a consistent energy source. 7. Weight Loss The energy from these medium chain fatty acids can be used to burn other fats in the system and lose weight. Digestion and Immune Strengthening Ghee (unlike other oils) is rich in butyric acid, a short chain fatty acid. Beneficial intestinal bacteria convert fiber into butyric acid and then use that for energy and intestinal wall support. A healthy body therefore makes it own form of ‘ghee’ but you can aid that greatly by just consuming it. 8. Healthy Digestive Tract Research shows that people with unhealthy digestive tracts do not produce butyric acid. 9. Healthy Immune System Research shows that adequate production of butyric acid supports the production of killer T cells in the gut, and thus a strong immune system. 10. Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Cancer Researchers are using oral butyrate supplements and butyrate enemas to treat inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis. Ayurvedic physicians have been using ghee enemas for centuries to decrease inflammation. 11. Strong Appetite Ghee stimulates the secretion of gastric acid, thus aiding in the digestive process. Better digestion equals better health and weight loss. 12. Molecules of Emotion Modern research is now revealing that negative emotions have a chemical nature. This is what ancient cultures have always maintained, that the mind and body are one. These chemicals are attracted to and stored in fat. Ghee can be used to replace those fats. Plus, if used properly in a cleanse, can attract and pull out these emotional toxins so they can be cleansed from the body. 13. Positive Food Within Ayurveda, ghee is considered one of the most satvic foods. Satvic foods promote positivity, growth and expansion of consciousness. 14. Holy Cow The positive subtle effects of ghee is said to come from the fact that it comes freely from cows. Cows are special or holy because they receive and store thousands of spiritual energies from the environment. The milk from cows therefore contains the essence of all those energies and ghee is the essence of the milk. 15. Fry Your Spices in Ghee Many of the medicinal properties of herbs and spices can be absorbed and transported to targeted areas of the body with ghee. This is why Ayurveda uses ghee in thousands of different herbal preparation. You can do the same thing by frying your kitchen spices in ghee before adding to your dishes. Making and Storing Ghee Ghee is made the same as clarified butter but heated longer. Learn how to: Make Ghee The two things that will degrade ghee are water and sunlight. Always store your ghee in a container with a good seal in the dark. This is why it is best not to store ghee in the refrigerator if you are using it often. When you open it up to the warm air, water will condense on the ghee and cause oxidation.

Announcer: Welcome to another HealthNews video news release brought to you by Health News. In today’s news, studies show that the complex microbial ecosystem in our intestines should be considered as a separate organ within the body. And that organ runs on a MAC, Microbiota-Accessible Carbohydrates= mostly fiber. Fiber is what our good gut bacteria feed on. A diet consisting of whole plant food like fruit helps our gut flora to multiply. And from fiber, our gut flora produces short-chain fatty acids, which are an important energy source for the cells lining our colon. Short-chain fatty acids also function to suppress inflammation and cancer. A standard North American diet, where we’re eating highly processed food leaves nothing for our gut flora. Bad bacteria multiply and can take over and increase our susceptibility to inflammatory diseases, colon cancer, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, or cardiovascular disease. Not only may this mean loss of beneficial microbial metabolites, but also a loss in beneficial microbes themselves. When we don’t eat enough whole plant foods, we are starving our microbial selves. On traditional plant-based diets with lots of fiber, short-chain fatty acids, offer lots of protection from Western diseases like colon cancer. Eating beans, whole grains, fruits and vegetables every day will promote healthy gut flora. And remember your best source for everything health is Dr. Pavel Bence. TOP 8 Impressive Benefits of Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 8 Amazing Benefits Of Ghee
8 Impressive Benefits of Ghee (Clarified Butter) Some of the most impressive benefits of ghee include its ability to protect your gastrointestinal system, balance your cholesterol levels, provide additional energy, reduce inflammation in the joints, eliminates certain allergy concerns, protect you from various chronic disease, improve your eye health, strengthen your immune system, and even prevent certain types of cancer. Ghee (Clarified Butter) Butter might be one of the most beloved types of food on the planet, because it makes everything taste so good, but there are other even more delicious alternatives to butter, some of which have been around for thousands of years. Ghee is a clarified type of butter, meaning that it is butter that has been simmered into a concentrate and the residue has been removed. What remains is basically a pure combination of fats, without any milk residue, which means that it does not need to be refrigerated. Ghee can last for months, or even years, without refrigeration, which made it very popular throughout history, before modern times and refrigeration.Butter3 Although it originated in India, ghee is commonly known in dozens of countries, primarily in Asia, certain parts of Africa, and throughout all of the Indian subcontinent. Ghee has a rather unique and flavorful taste and aroma that is different from butter, but it can be used in almost all of the same ways. Now, butter can be very dangerous for people due to the high concentration of fat, and ghee is no exception; in fact, ghee is pure fat, so only small amounts are needed, or else it can have negative effects on your health. If eaten in moderation, ghee can provide your body with higher concentrations of other essential nutrients that aren’t available in butter. Let’s take a closer look at this ancient butter substitute to see what it really contributes to human health. Nutritional Value of Ghee Ghee may be composed primarily of fats, but it also contains significant levels of vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin D. Although many people think of fats as unhealthy elements of your diet, the body also needs fat to function. Omega-3s (monounsaturated fats) are healthy forms of fat that can be found in ghee, in addition to other fatty acids like conjugated linoleic acid and butyric acid, both of which have positive health benefits in the body. Health Benefits of Ghee Energy Booster: The wide range of fats that compose ghee include medium-chain fatty acids, which are very useful for the body and can be processed by the liver and burnt as energy, not passing into adipose tissue or contributing to weight gain. For athletes or other people with active, high-energy lifestyles, ghee can provide the necessary burst of energy that you might need to get through a particularly challenging day! Allergy Issues: Since ghee is dairy-free (having had all of the dairy residue simmered off), lactose intolerant individuals or those who cannot consume butter are free to enjoy the flavorful treat of “butter” in the form of ghee without worrying about the gastrointestinal problems that normally follow. Heart Health: Although most people associate butter with fat and a decline in heart health, the rich variety of fats in ghee can also provide a healthy boost to the heart. Omega-3 fatty acids can help decrease your levels of unhealthy cholesterol and provide an energetic balance to your fat intake. Reduce Inflammation: Ghee possesses butyric acid, which is one of the most beneficial short-chain fatty acids that the body needs. Butyric acid has been shown, in recent research, to actually decrease inflammation in parts of the body, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract, and is now a recommended dietary addition for some people with ulcerative colitis. Furthermore, ghee enemas have long been used in traditional medicine for inflammation of all kinds. Antioxidant Activity: The health benefits of vitamin A are widely publicized and the power of carotenoids in terms of eliminating free radicals in the body are extremely valuable. When you add the antioxidant capacity of conjugated linoleic acid and butyric acid to the power of vitamin A contained in ghee, you have a powerful anti-cancer substance that could help reduce oxidative stress throughout the body. gheeclarifiedbutterinfoEye Health: The significant levels of vitamin A in ghee make it ideal for protecting eye health. Carotenoids are antioxidants that specialize in eliminating and neutralizing the free radicals that attack the macular cells, thereby preventing macular degeneration and the development of cataracts. Immune System Booster: Butyric acid, perhaps the most important element in ghee, has also been linked to the stimulation of T-cell production, which are the heavy-hitting cells of the immune system. In other words, ghee can supercharge your immune system in addition to all of its other health benefits!

Vegetarian and vegan children
Vegetarian and vegan children If you're bringing up your child on a diet without meat (vegetarian) or without any food from an animal (vegan), they'll need two or three portions of vegetable proteins or nuts every day to make sure they get enough protein and iron. Don't give whole nuts to children under five years old as they could choke. Grind nuts finely or use a smooth nut butter. Read food allergies for important information about peanut allergy. Weaning your vegetarian baby The advice on introducing solids at about six months is the same for vegetarian babies as for non-vegetarian babies. However, as your child gets older, there's a risk that a vegetarian or vegan diet may be low in iron and energy and too high in fibre. You can make sure your child gets enough iron by giving them: fortified breakfast cereal dark green vegetables bread beans and lentils dried fruit, such as apricots, figs and prunes Vitamin C in fruit and vegetables helps the body to absorb iron, so include these at every mealtime. You can help ensure that your child gets all the nutrients they need by giving them smaller and more frequent main meals, with one or two snacks in between, and making sure they eat a good variety of foods. You'll also need to make sure they get enough calcium, vitamin B12 and vitamin D. The Department of Health recommends that all under-fives are given vitamin supplements containing vitamins A, C and D every day. Babies who are having more than 500ml (about a pint) of infant formula a day shouldn't be given vitamin supplements because formula is already fortified with nutrients. Read more about vitamins for babies and toddlers Vegan diets for children If you're breastfeeding and you're on a vegan diet, it's important that you take a vitamin D supplement. You may also need extra vitamin B12. Take care when giving children a vegan diet. Young children need a good variety of foods to provide the energy and vitamins they need for growth. A vegan diet can be bulky and high in fibre. This can mean that children get full up before they've taken in enough calories. Because of this, they may need extra supplements. Ask a dietitian or doctor for advice before introducing your child to solids. Energy Young children need lots of energy to grow and develop. Give vegan children high-calorie foods, such as hummus, bananas and smooth nut and seed butters (such as tahini and cashew or peanut butter). They still need starchy foods. However, don't give only wholegrain and wholemeal versions to children under five years old because they're high in fibre. For extra energy, you could add vegetable oils or vegan fat spreads to foods. Protein Pulses and food made from pulses are a good source of protein for vegan children. Nut and seed butters also contain protein. Always use smooth versions for babies and children under five years old. Breastfeeding until your child is two or more, or giving them soya-based formula milk if they are vegan, will help ensure they get enough protein. Ask your GP for advice before using soya-based formula. Calcium Fortified soya drinks often have added calcium. Some foods are also fortified with calcium, so check the label. Vitamin B12 Fortified breakfast cereals and some yeast extracts contain vitamin B12. Your child may also need a supplement. Omega-3 fatty acids Some omega-3 fatty acids are found in certain vegetable oils, such as linseed, flaxseed, walnut and rapeseed oils. However, these are chemically different from the long chain omega-3 fatty acids found in oily fish. Evidence suggests that these short-chain fatty acids may not offer the same protection against heart disease as those found in oily fish.

🔹🔹Virgin Coconut Oil For Weight Loss And Thyroid Support🔹🔹
Virgin Coconut Oil For Weight Loss And Thyroid Support Subscribe To Get New Videos Daily: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi1zZ8_Q7yqKInXImLCLfXw --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When it comes to using virgin coconut oil for weight loss, it is not just another fad diet. There is science behind why it helps burn fat and we'll look at some of that below. The first thing to understand, as I described in Coconut Oil Benefits, not all saturated fats are created equal. Unfortunately due to an aggressive advertising campaign run in the 80's by soybean farmers looking to increase their market share, we've come to believe that ALL saturated fats are unhealthy for us. But this is only true of long-chain fatty acids, not short- or medium-chain fatty acids. Remember: Fats are NOT the same as fatty acids!Using virgin coconut oil for weight loss is beneficial because the oil consists primarily of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), the kind that are not only good for you, but essential for brain function, muscle function, healing, energy and more. Coconut oil doesn't raise blood glucose levels and it is processed immediately by the body and turned into energy. It isn't stored in the body where it can be turned into fat. For this reason it boosts the metabolic rate. The MCFA's don't even require pancreatic digestive enzymes to break them down. According to Bruce Fife, C.N., N.D. in his book The Coconut Oil Miracle, the metabolic rate stays elevated for at least 24 hours after eating, meaning more energy and fat burning throughout your day. Due to poor testing of the thyroid many people suffer from poor thyroid function (hypothyroidism) and don't even know it. When your thyroid is sluggish you can't lose weight no matter how little you eat. Symptoms of a sluggish thyroid are:Fatigue.Weight issues.Cold hands and feet.Low body temperature.Depression and anxiety.Insomnia and other sleep problems.Dry skin and brittle nails.Constipation.Allergies and asthma.Hair loss.Talk to your doctor, yo! These are signs not to ignore! Refined unsaturated vegetable oils suppress thyroid function and can cause weight gain. Coconut oil is not unsaturated and doesn't have these negative effects on thyroid function. Instead, coconut oil helps the thyroid gland to function normally, and it helps people meet and stay at their ideal weight. Coconut oil also stimulates metabolism therefore promoting weight loss. In 2009, a study was conducted on women with abdominal obesity and the effects of coconut oil supplementation. Forty women, from age 20 to 40 years who had a waist circumference greater than 34.6 inches, received a daily dietary supplement of either 30 mL of coconut oil or 30 mL of soybean oil. The study lasted 12 weeks. Upon completion of the 12 weeks only the coconut oil group had a reduction in waist circumference. A previous study in 2003 observed whether a diet containing medium and long chain triglycerides (MLCT) like those found in coconut oil could decrease accumulation of body fat in a group of healthy people. The study lasted 12 weeks. The participants in the MLCT group were given bread for breakfast daily, made with 14 g of MLCT containing 1.7 g medium-chain fatty acids. The control group was given bread made with long-chain triacylglycerols (LCT). Coconut Oil For Cooking: The easiest way to start using coconut oil for weight loss is by eating it by the spoonful. Use a small amount until your body gets used to it. To get a good amount of medium chain fatty acids researchers recommend adults consume about 3 1/2 tablespoons spread throughout the day. The easiest way to use it is to replace the unhealthy oils you may currently be using. http://www.sustainablebabysteps.com/coconut-oil-for-weight-loss.html Watch Popular Videos : Top 7 Herbs To Relieve Arthritis And Joint Pain https://youtu.be/g1G8Np_7_ww After Eating Soursop Juice, This Is What Happens With Your Body https://youtu.be/c5ET3vxqfGU If You Often Have Headaches, Low Energy, and Insomnia, Start Consuming These https://youtu.be/FufXTzMmK64 Epidural Steroid Injection Side Effects https://youtu.be/KzC0xMBnAAY Top 5 Home Remedies for Lower Back Pain https://youtu.be/_BHBbNo9kXY Find Us on Social Media : https://pinterest.com/susanbuck21/ https://selfhealthcures.blogspot.com https://selfhealthcures.tumblr.com Health Disclaimer: The information on this channel is only for educational purposes. Alternatives to Milk - Dairy part 2
alternatives and exceptions to milk and dairy In part 1 - I talked about problems from conventional pasteurized and homogenized dairy is for everyone including those who are not lactose intolerant. The most important rule as in any health information is to listen to your own body. Understanding what makes you tired, gassy, achy, depressed, lose sleep or any other unnatural disruption outside of getting energy and mental clarity from what you eat are all important messages for you to override anything that you hear is healthy for you. 7 Amazing Benefits Of Ghee
Hi Friends, today in this video, This video will be showing on 7 Amazing Benefits Of Ghee. Given here are the amazing benefits of ghee. 1. Low In Fat If you have problems with cholesterol, ghee is a healthier option than butter as it is low in fat. It is also easier to digest because of this. Research has shown that ghee can reduce cholesterol in the intestine as well as the serum (1). If you are looking for a good source of healthy fats, ghee is your best option as it is almost made up of saturated fat. 2. Aids The Digestive System Ghee is a rich source of butyric acid that is a short-chain fatty acid . This acid is connected to an immune response that can help in lowering inflammation and improving the digestive system. Ghee also aids in the stimulation of stomach acid secretion, which, in turn, helps with the proper digestion of food. It does not slow down digestion like other fats such as oils and butter do. 3. Strengthens The Immune System Ghee also has a high content of antioxidants. It helps in increasing your body’s ability to absorb vitamins and minerals from other foods that you consume. This, in turn, keeps your immune system strong. Research has also shown that when butyric acid is adequately produced, killer T cell production in the gut is supported, and your immune system is strengthened. These T cells are mainly responsible for all the heavy work carried out by the immune system against allergens and foreign particles that enter our bodies. Fat soluble vitamins and minerals also boost our immunity, and ghee helps in the absorption of these nutrients in our body. 4. Provides Essential Vitamins Ghee is rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, which are fat-soluble vitamins. They play an important role in the immune system functioning of the heart, brain, and bones. It also has loads of dietary fats that help your body absorb these essential vitamins and make use of them 5.Is Beneficial For Skin Daily consumption and application of ghee can be greatly beneficial to your skin. Ghee is a good moisturizer – lightly massage your skin with ghee to get supple and soft skin in the winters. Chapped lips? Smear a bit of ghee on your lips and get a luscious pout without using cosmetics. Lack of sleep may be leaving panda-like dark circles around your eyes, but ghee will reduce them in no time. Apply it lightly around the eyes before going to sleep. Burns or rashes heal quickly if you apply ghee as a salve. 6.Improves Eyesight Are you aware of the cow ghee benefits for eyes? Ayurveda, the ancient Indian medicinal text, swears by ghee and its eyesight improvement properties. Eating ghee regularly can improve eyesight. If you have irritation in the eye, smear a bit of ghee under your eye. Although Ayurveda suggests pouring slightly warmed ghee gently on the opened eye, it is not advised, as the ghee you buy may have contamination and may further irritate or damage your eye. 7.Helps In The Treatment Of Burns Are you aware of ghee benefits for skin? Ghee is one of the most popular natural remedies for the treatment of burns. It is also widely used for treating swelling in different parts of the body. Apart from this, it can also be used to reduce inflammation on the skin by applying it to the affected area. If you suffer from severe dryness, ghee can also be used as a moisturizer for your skin as well as your scalp. # Hope you find this video helpful if Yes Then Please hit the like button below. make sure you subscribe us because we post Health Benefit Related video every single day. # if you have a request for a video, be sure to leave it in the comment section below. What Is Resistant Starch and Is It a Weight Loss Superfood
What Is Resistant Starch and Is It a Weight-Loss Superfood. What is Resistant Starch?. Safe starch will be starch that isn't separated and processed in the small digestive tract however goes into the internal organ. In this regard, it is more similar to fiber. Safe starch is, truth be told, viewed as the third kind of dietary fiber, after insoluble and dissolvable fiber. It is an exceptionally gainful supplement that has social insurance experts discussing it. Albeit safe starch is certifiably not an ordinarily utilized and recognizable term, it offers different medical advantages. In the colon, safe starch is utilized as a fuel by the occupant microscopic organisms, by the procedure called maturation, in which short chain unsaturated fats are created. It is these short chain unsaturated fats that give numerous medical advantages. There are 4 kinds of safe starch (RS) that have been recognized based on its structure or source. RS1 - This kind of RS isn't absorbable on the grounds that it is unavailable for the stomach related process like in entire grains, vegetables and seeds in light of the flawless cell dividers/sinewy shell. RS2 - This kind of RS is available in its regular frame in nourishments like unripe bananas, crude potatoes, plantains, high amylose corn and so on. This starch is impervious to breakage by our stomach related chemicals. RS3 - This sort of RS is shaped when bland nourishments like potatoes, rice, vegetables, cornflakes, and so forth are cooked and cooled before utilization. RS4 - This is the changed/produced RS that is so prepared to oppose assimilation. Medical advantages. Some imperative advantages of safe starch are: Weight Control. Including safe starch builds the fiber substance of sustenances. This negatively affects weight pick up and heftiness. The presumable advantages are decreased cravings for food because of expanding feeling of satiety and conceivable modification in protein discharges that influence the absorption of nourishment. RS is additionally thought to consume fat and cause its decrease and thus, collection. It likewise builds the digestion of unsaturated fats inside the greasy tissue in this manner again decreasing fat stockpiling. By expanding digestion, it additionally avoids weight pick up. RS can be joined to supplant high calories sustenances like flour and different starches that are immediately processed in this way decreasing the fat substance of nourishments. Overseeing Blood Sugar Levels. Expending sustenances rich in RS diminishes the glycemic reaction in both sound and diabetic people. RS likewise builds affectability to insulin in sound, those with type 2 diabetes and in addition insulin safe people. At the point when pregnant women devour RS rich nourishments it expanded the glycemic strength of the posterity. RS likewise kept the advancement of insulin obstruction. Absorption. RS rich nourishments help to keep up a more beneficial colon and by and large a more advantageous stomach related framework as it permits the valuable bacterial to multiply along these lines diminishing the number of inhabitants in destructive microorganisms. Safe starch likewise brings down the intestinal pH and makes the solid discharges normal by enhancing the intestinal issue mass. Common safe starch additionally keeps the colon solid, secures against colo-rectal growth by the generation of short chain unsaturated fats defensive mixes like butyrate specifically, and also acetic acid derivation and propionate. Kidney Health. RS keeps up the soundness of kidneys by diminishing blood urea levels as it causes expanded discharge of nitrogen. Different Benefits. RS benefits eye wellbeing, enhances calcium and magnesium assimilation consequently reinforcing the bones and those with ulcerative colitis. It diminishes cholesterol and triglyceride levels. RS enhances the cerebrum capacity and wellbeing in maturing people by enhancing craving and expanding nourishment allow as well as enhancing the engine coordination in the matured. Fibre 101 - Insoluble vs. Soluble and Prebiotic Fibre
Dietary fibre is the portion of plant cells that are resistant to the breakdown of enzymes in the human digestive tract. Another words, fibre cannot be broken down and used as an immediate source of energy. It is important to note that there are two types of dietary fibre: Insoluble and Soluble. Insoluble fibre travels to the intestine with very little change and increases bulk, softens stool and shortens transit time through the gastrointestinal tract. Bottom-line: insoluble fibre prevents constipation. In the case of soluble fibre, if appropriate liquid intake is met to stay hydrated, they will either form a gel or dissolve in water and reach the large intestine where they can be digested by bacteria. As bacteria digest soluble fibres, they produce short-chain fatty acids that provide our bodies with energy. It is estimated that fibers fermented by bacteria provide about 2 calories per gram of fibre. Beyond this, research has shown that short-chain fatty acids may decrease cancer risks, maintain a healthier gut barrier to pathogens, improve calcium absorption, alleviate IBS symptoms, increase satiety, decrease appetite, and even prevent specific allergies. All prebiotics are a type of soluble fibre, but not all soluble fibre are prebiotic. By definition, prebiotics are non-digestible plant material that improves human health by its selective fermentation by one or a limited number of beneficial microorganisms residing in the colon that stimulates their growth. Similarly, all probiotics are considered living microorganisms such as bacteria, but not all bacteria are considered probiotic. To be classified as a probiotic, the living microorganism must confer a health benefit on the host. Bottom-line: Prebiotics are probiotic promoters or the fuel for good bacteria. So where can we find prebiotics? Fortunately, prebiotics are naturally occurring in many plant foods, such as garlic, leeks, onions, chicory root, asparagus, sunchokes, sweet potatoes, yams, oats, soybeans, and slightly under-ripe bananas, barley, konjac root, apples, cocoa, jicama, burdock root and seaweed.

Diet, Gut Microbiota and Western Lifestyle Diseases
Charles R. Mackay, Monash University Speech at the Herrenhausen Conference "Beyond the Intestinal Microbiome – From Signatures to Therapy", 09.10.2014 Human disease is affected by diet, as well as by the composition of the gut microbiota, through poorly understood mechanisms. One of the major activities of commensal microbes is digestion of dietary fibre to yield short chain fatty acids (SCFAs). Deficiency of dietary fibre, in particular, has been associated with increased mortality due to various diseases. Decreasing amounts of fibre intake in western countries is one hypothesis for the increased incidences of certain inflammatory diseases. The burning questions in the field of dietary metabolites to be addressed in future studies are: What is the relative importance of metabolite-sensing GPCRs versus HDACs for gut health and human disease? How important are metabolites such as SCFAs for a ‘developmental origin’ of disease, i.e. diseases that are put in train in utero or during breast feeding, and which may have an epigenetic basis? What are all the metabolites of beneficial bacteria, and are non-bacterially produced metabolites important as well? Help for Leaky Gut Syndrome
Help for Leaky Gut Syndrome - http://thebetterinfo.com/Free-Leaky-Gut-Report.htm Leaky gut syndrome is a set of symptoms caused when undigested proteins from the colon leak through holes in the colon wall, getting into the blood stream. This can cause allergies, skin problems and sometimes even asthma. The holes are left behind when the yeast dies and they must be patched up and further holes must be prevented from occurring. Kill the Yeast Excessive use of antibiotics, an unhealthy lifestyle and poor eating habits all encourage yeast overgrowth in the colon. The yeast mutates, growing appendages which burrow into the intestinal wall. When the yeast dies off the hole that was created remains open, allowing particles to seep through. A change in diet to one that is relatively free of sugar and refined carbohydrates is very important because the yeast is fed by this food group. When the food supply is cut off then the yeast will cease reproduction. To kill the yeast that is already present daily intake of caprylic acid, oil of oregano and olive leaf extract supplements is usually all that is required. These are all conveniently taken in capsule form. This regimen represents a naturopathic approach to the condition, and most naturopaths suggest 600 mg. of caprylic acid taken twice each day, 500 mg. of olive leaf extract taken up to three times each day and the oil of oregano taken in softgel form twice each day. Each dose of supplements should be taken with a meal. These supplements should be taken for at least two months to ensure that yeast overgrowth has been neutralized. Why Eating Resistant Starch Is Optimal For Gut Health
Have you heard about resistant starch and why it is so important for gut health? In this video I am going to share with you why resistant starch is so beneficial for you, or more specifically for your bacteria. The main reason why resistant starch is so beneficial is that it feeds the friendly bacteria in your gut, specifically in your colon. It increases the fermentation and the production of short chain fatty acids, such as butyrate (which is known to help reduce inflammation). Why is this important? Butyrate is the preferred energy source for cells lining the colon. It helps to lower the pH of our bowel, making it less hospitable for bad bacteria and pathogens and increases good bacteria. It is also extremely helpful in cases of autoimmunity, IBS, colitis and allergies. Not only that resistant starch supports the body's gut function, immune strength, detoxification and specific vitamin production. Find out about one of the best sources of resistant starch. This starch doesn’t affect blood sugar levels, as your body doesn’t digest it. Your gut bacteria does. 8 Chia Seeds Benefits
Chia Seeds Benefits Benefits of Chia Seeds 1. Skin and Aging Researchers from Mexico uncovered that chia seeds had a total natural phenolic (antioxidants) concentration nearly two times higher than previously reported, and the antioxidant activity was shown to stop up to 70 percent of free radical activity. (2) This research essentially proves that chia seeds are one of nature’s riches high-antioxidant foods. Antioxidants speed up the skin’s repair systems and prevent further damage. Taking chia seeds can prevent premature skin aging due to inflammation and free radical damage. 2. Digestive Health Chia is super-high in fiber, providing nearly 11 grams per ounce. One serving can provide the recommended fiber intake for the day, according to the American Dietetic Association. Fiber is essential for your body’s ability to balance insulin levels. According to the National Institutes of Health, seeds like flax and chia can be a natural blood sugar balancer due to their high fiber content and healthy fats. Being high in dietary fiber, chia seeds benefits bowel regularity and healthy stool. The rich fiber content in chia seeds also helps people feel more full quicker because it absorbs a considerable amount of water and immediately expands in the stomach when eaten. (3) This may explain why clinical studies have proved that chia curbs hunger and suppresses appetite, which can also lead to weight loss. (4) Also when consumed, chia seeds create a gelatin-like substance in the stomach. This gel-forming action is due to the soluble fiber in chia seeds, and it can work as a prebiotic that supports the growth of probiotics in the gut. 3. Heart Health Chia seeds’ ability to reverse inflammation, regulate cholesterol and lower blood pressure make it extremely beneficial to consume for heart health. (5) Also, by reversing oxidative stress, someone is less likely to develop atherosclerosis when he or she regularly consumes chia seeds. In a nutshell, according to research out of Massachusetts: (6) The available human and non-human studies show possible effectiveness for allergies, angina, athletic performance enhancement, cancer, coronary heart disease (CHD), heart attack, hormonal/endocrine disorders, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, stroke, and vasodilatation. Some evidence also suggests possible anticoagulant, antioxidant, and antiviral effects of Salvia hispanica. Chia seeds (salvia hispanica) are high in linoleic acid, a fatty acid that helps the body absorb fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. For such a tiny seed, chia is quite high in healthy fats, boasting more omega-3s than salmon. Omega-3s work to protect the heart by lowering blood pressure, bad cholesterol and inflammation. Inflammation can put strain on blood vessels and cause heart disease. So by eating chia seeds, you can boost and protect your heart thanks to the omega-3s — just another example of the amazing chia seeds benefits available. 4. Coconut Oil Can Kill Harmful Microorganisms Almost 50% of the fatty acids in coconut oil is the 12-carbon Lauric Acid. When lauric acid is digested, it forms a substance called monolaurin. Both lauric acid and monolaurin can kill harmful pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi (8). For example, these substances have been shown to kill the bacteria Staphylococcus Aureus (a very dangerous pathogen) and the yeast Candida Albicans, a common source of yeast infections in humans (9, 10). 5. Coconut Oil Can Reduce Your Hunger, Helping You Eat Less One interesting feature of coconut oil is that it can reduce your hunger. This may be related to the way the fatty acids in it are metabolized, because ketones can have an appetite reducing effect (11). In one study, varying amounts of medium and long chain triglycerides were fed to 6 healthy men. The men eating the most MCTs ate 256 fewer calories per day, on average (12). Another study in 14 healthy men discovered that those who ate the most MCTs at breakfast ate fewer calories at lunch (13). These studies were small and only done for a short period of time. If this effect were to persist over the long term, it could have a dramatic influence on body weight over a period of several years. 6. The Fatty Acids in Coconut Oil Are Turned into Ketones, Which Can Reduce Seizures A so-called ketogenic (very low carb, very high fat) diet is currently being studied to treat various disorders. The best known therapeutic application of this diet is treating drug-resistant epilepsy in children (14). This diet involves eating very little carbohydrates and large amounts of fat, leading to greatly increased concentrations of ketones in the blood. For some reason, this diet can dramatically reduce the rate of seizures in epileptic children, even those who haven't had success with multiple different types of drugs. . Coconut Oil Can Improve Blood Cholesterol Levels Coconut oil contains healthy saturated fats.
