What Causes Allergic Conjunctivitis?

02:59
Dr. Sean S Da Silva, Medical Superintendent, Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgeon, The Eye Foundation, Bangalore, India, explains the causes and treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. He also advises on some of the do's and don'ts for individuals suffering from it. Allergic conjunctivitis is the inflammation of the thin and clear membrane (conjunctiva) that covers the eyeball due to an allergy-causing agent. The eyes release the chemical histamine whenever they are exposed to an allergen, resulting in watery, swollen, itchy, red eyes. It is not contagious. “School-going children are very vulnerable to this type of conjunctivitis. Most kids pick up the allergens from their school, playgrounds or home. Some of the commonest allergens are pollen, animal dander, mold, dust, perfume, cosmetics, smoke, certain eye drops, etc.” Allergic conjunctivitis tends to affect both the eyes at the same time with the same severity. Allergic conjunctivitis can be: Perennial (all year-round): It is mostly in reaction to an animal dander, mold spores or dust mites. Seasonal: It is mostly reported in dry and windy season. Air-borne allergens such as pollen are the main culprits. Prevention Removing the allergens is the best way to avoid frequent episodes of allergic conjunctivitis: Get rid of dust mites: Remove carpets. Disinfecting bedding, pillows and mattresses help. Avoid pets: Dog and cat dander are well-known allergens. e The doctor will usually prescribe eye drops or medication to reduce the inflammation. Lubricating eye drops can be prescribed to wash away the allergens. Applying cold compresses to the eyes helps in easing the pain. Allergic Conjunctivitis explained by Dr. Sunita Lulla Gur, ICARE Eye Hospital, Noida

05:33
http://www.icarehospital.org/low_vision.php Eye allergies, also called ocular allergies or allergic conjunctivitis. Though the symptoms they cause can be annoying -- not to mention unbecoming -- they pose little threat to eyesight other than temporary blurriness. But red, itchy, burning, and puffy eyes can be caused also by infections and other conditions that do threaten eyesight. So, it's smart to see your doctor if eye symptoms don't get better with self-help strategies or over-the-counter allergy remedies.

What CAUSES EYES ITCHY At Night

12:45
What CAUSES EYES ITCHY At Night. When you have allergies, your body reacts to things that aren't really harmful, like pollen, dust mites, mold, or pet dander. It releases histamine, a chemical that causes swelling and inflammation. The blood vessels in your eyes swell and your eyes get red, teary, and itchy. You can be allergic to: Pollen from grasses, weeds, and trees. These are the most common kinds of eye allergies and are called seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Dust, pet dander, and other indoor allergens. These eye allergies last year-round and are called chronic (perennial) conjunctivitis. Makeup, perfume, or other chemicals can trigger eye allergies called contact conjunctivitis. An allergy to contact lenses, called giant papillary conjunctivitis, makes eyes sensitive and red.. Symptoms to Watch For You may start to have symptoms as soon as the eyes come in contact with the allergen, or you may not have symptoms for two to four days. Symptoms of eye allergies include: Red, irritated eyes Itchiness Tearing or runny eyes Swollen eyelids Soreness, burning, or pain Sensitivity to light Usually you’ll also have other allergy symptoms, such as a stuffy, runny nose and sneezing.

5 Amazing Home Remedies For Allergic Conjunctivitis

04:57
5 Amazing Home Remedies For Allergic Conjunctivitis https://youtu.be/MQ4hXtFUki0 Allergic conjunctivitis occurs when something you are allergic to irritates the conjunctiva, the delicate membrane covering the eye and the inside of the eyelid. Like all allergies, allergic conjunctivitis starts when the immune system identifies an otherwise harmless substance as an allergen. This causes your immune system to overreact and produce antibodies, which in turn cause an allergic reaction. In the case of allergic conjunctivitis, the reaction starts after exposure to allergens like pollen, dust mites, pet dander, royal jelly, contact lens solution, mold, or chemicals. Allergic conjunctivitis can be either acute or chronic. Common symptoms include excess clear, watery discharge from the eyes, redness, itching, and swelling. The eyes also may feel gritty and sandy. Allergies affect people of all ages, though this problem is common in people who have other allergic conditions, such as hay fever, asthma, or eczema. Early diagnosis can help prevent the symptoms from becoming worse. With some precautionary measures and simple home remedies, you can experience relief or at least reduce the severity of symptoms. Here are the top 5 home remedies for allergic conjunctivitis. 1. Avoid Triggers. While completely avoiding environmental factors that cause allergic conjunctivitis is not possible, at least try to limit your exposure. Keep windows and doors closed when the pollen count is high. Keep your home dust-free and vacuum regularly. Use an indoor air purifier to improve the quality of indoor air. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, dyes, and perfumes. 2. Cold Compresses. Applying cold compresses over the affected eyes can give you quick relief from the itching and pain. It also helps bring down the swelling. You can use any of the following options: Soak a small lint-free cloth in ice cold water, wring it out and place it over your closed eyes. Remove it after 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat several times a day. Wrap some ice cubes in a lint-free cloth. Place it over your closed eyes and remove it after 5 minutes. Repeat 2 or 3 times more. Placing a cold spoon on your closed eyes is another trick that you can try. 3. Saline Solution. Flushing out your eyes with some homemade saline solution is another effective remedy if you get an allergen in your eye, the key reason behind allergic conjunctivitis. Saline solution is good for irritated and inflamed eyes and helps wash away any debris in the eyes. Add ½ to 1 teaspoon of salt to 1 cup of distilled water. Bring the water to a boil, then allow it to cool. Use it as an eyewash, using an eyecup or dropper. Repeat the process several times a day. 4. Black Tea Poultice. A black tea poultice is another good remedy for allergic conjunctivitis. The tannins in black tea are soothing for your eyes and help reduce pain and inflammation. Steep 2 black tea bags in 2 cups of hot water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, set them aside on a clean plate, and allow them to cool down a bit. Use the tea bags as a warm poultice over your closed eyes for 15 to 20 minutes. Do it 3 or 4 times a day until your condition improves. 5. Chamomile. Due to its powerful anti-allergenic nature, chamomile is another good remedy for allergic conjunctivitis. It inhibits the release of histamine, which helps prevent an allergic reaction that causes this problem. When chamomile tea is used as a cold compress or eyewash, it can provide relief from itchiness and eye irritation. Put 2 chamomile tea bags in 2 cups of hot water and let them steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and set them aside in the refrigerator. Put the chilled tea bags over your closed eyes for about 10 minutes. Do this 3 or 4 times a day for fast recovery. Also, use the cool chamomile tea as an eyewash, 2 or 3 times a day. THANKS FOR WATCHING MY VIDEO. SUBSCRIBE MY CHANNEL FOR MORE VIDEOS. How to prevent allergic conjunctivitis?

01:26
The most common types of ocular allergies are seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis. Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis is the more common type accounting for the majority of allergic conjunctivitis cases. As its name suggests, it is related to specific pollens that spore during specific seasons. Symptoms generally include red, itchy and watery eyes. People affected by hay fever and other seasonal allergies also experience symptoms involving the nose and throat. Unfortunately, there is no known cure for seasonal allergic conjunctivitis unless you can find a way to completely avoid coming into contact with the allergens. Treatment of allergic conjunctivitis Non-drug therapy: The key approach is avoidance of the known or suspected allergens. Recommendations include: keeping windows, doors and vents closed; wearing glasses/sunglasses; and avoiding grass cutting, picnics and camping. When symptoms do arise, non-drug approaches that may bring temporary relief of symptoms include simple application of cold compresses to the eyes and physical removal (dilution or wash out) of allergens from the conjunctival surface with saline or artificial tears administered four to eight times daily. Tablets: Orally ingested antihistamines may partially relieve ocular symptoms and work on nasal symptoms. However, topical eye drops may prove the fastest and most effective in relieving ocular itch, redness and swelling. Unlike oral medications, eye drops allow the medication to get directly to the affected eyes. Eye drops: Since histamine causes most of the common symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis, the most commonly used agents either block the actions of histamine or prevent the rupturing of mast cells, from which histamine is released. However, as there are other processes involved in the allergic response, products with multiple actions on histamine as well as on cells involved in the allergic reaction may be more appropriate to treat acute symptoms and to prevent their recurrence. In severe and longstanding cases, topical steroids (eg dexamethasone, prednisolone) are often required. Short courses (burst or pulse and taper) can break the inflammatory cycle. Given the potentially disastrous visual consequences of long term steroid use, especially in the unsupervised patient, these should not be continued simply to try and eliminate all final traces of the condition.

Cure Allergic Rhinitis, Hay Fever, Nasal Congestion For Good😊With These Simple Home Remedies

07:00
Allergic rhinitis is a common condition, affecting an estimated 10 to 20% of the US population. It is a type of allergic reaction that happens when your immune system overreacts to inhaled substances and the body releases chemicals that cause allergy symptoms. Common allergens that can cause allergic rhinitis are tree and grass pollen. Other allergens include dust mites present in bedding, mold spores in the air and pet dander. There are two types of allergic rhinitis –seasonal (known as hay fever) and perennial that occurs year-round. Symptoms include repeated sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, nasal congestion and watery or swollen eyes. It can also give rise to symptoms like sore throat, dry cough, headaches, fatigue, weakness and dark circles under the eyes. Allergic rhinitis symptoms can affect the quality of life of the sufferers. To reduce symptoms, you can use some natural home remedies that are inexpensive and effective. Here are some home remedies for allergic rhinitis. 1. Saline Water One of the first steps to treat allergic rhinitis is to remove mucus from the nose with the help of a saline nasal wash. 1. Mix 1 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of baking soda in 2 cups of warm distilled water. 2. Using a nasal bulb, snort a small amount of this solution into one nostril. 3. Allow the solution to drain back out through the other nostril or through the mouth. 4. Gently blow your nose to remove excess mucus and solution. 5. Follow this same process with the other nostril. 6. Repeat this remedy a couple of times daily until your condition improves. 2. Steam Inhaling steam on a regular basis will help clear the nasal passages of excess mucus and any irritants. This in turn will help get rid of allergic rhinitis symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose and sore throat. 1. Pour boiling water in a big bowl. 2. Add 3 or 4 drops of any essential oil of your choice like eucalyptus, peppermint, rosemary or tea tree oil. 3. Cover your head with a towel and lean carefully over the bowl. 4. Deeply inhale the steam for 5 to 10 minutes, then blow your nose thoroughly. 5. Repeat several times a day until you recover completely. 3. Ginger Ginger is another useful home remedy for allergic rhinitis. It works as a natural antihistamine and has antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties that help relieve rhinitis symptoms like nasal congestion, runny nose, cough and even headache. • Add 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, a few cloves and a small piece of cinnamon to 1 cup of water. Boil for 5 minutes, strain and add a little honey and lemon juice. Drink this herbal tea up to 3 times daily during the allergy season. • Also, chew small pieces of fresh ginger several times a day as well as include ginger in your cooking. 4. Turmeric To reduce the risk of any kind of allergy, turmeric is a good consideration. It is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent with immune-boosting properties. It can help reduce symptoms of allergic rhinitis like congestion, cough, dry mouth and sneezing. • Prepare a mixture with 6 tablespoons each of turmeric powder and raw honey. Mix well and store it in an air-tight container. Have 1 teaspoon of this mixture 2 times daily during the allergy season. • Alternatively, drink 1 glass of warm turmeric milk daily to keep your immune system strong. • You can also use turmeric in your cooking or take turmeric supplements after consulting a doctor. 5. Garlic Garlic contains quercetin, a natural antihistamine that can be very effective in treating allergic rhinitis. Plus, garlic has antibiotic, antibacterial, antiviral and immune-boosting properties that promote quick recovery. • Chew 2 to 3 raw garlic cloves daily to combat the various symptoms of allergic rhinitis. • Also include garlic powder or raw garlic in your day-to-day cooking • People with a history of allergies can benefit from taking a garlic supplement daily during the allergy season. How Allergies Work Animation - Why Allergic Reactions Occur Video - Symptoms Sneezing Treatment

Allergies: Allergens like pollen are nothing more than foreign plant antigens. The stimulus for sneezing gets triggered when allergens first enter the nasal tissue. Pollen allergens encounter the plasma cells in the nose, which respond by producing antibodies. These antibodies attach to mast cells, which are white blood cells containing the chemical histamine. As more antibodies are produced, they cause the mast cells to release histamine. Histamine then produces allergy symptoms. A stuffy and runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes help to remove the invading pollen. Medications called antihistamines may be used to help alleviate severe allergy symptoms. Music Source: Is That You or Are You You by Chris Zabriskie is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://chriszabriskie.com/reappear/ Artist: http://chriszabriskie.com/ Heredity, environmental conditions, number and type of exposures and emotional factors can indicate a predisposition to allergies. Allergies often bring to mind sneezing, a runny nose or watery eyes. While these are symptoms of some types of allergic disease, it’s important to understand that an allergic reaction is actually a result of a chain reaction that begins in your genes and is expressed by your immune system. What is happening inside your body when you have an allergic reaction? The Immune System Your immune system controls how your body defends itself. For instance, if you have an allergy to pollen, your immune system identifies pollen as an invader or allergen. Your immune system overreacts by producing antibodies called Immunoglobulin E (IgE). These antibodies travel to cells that release chemicals, causing an allergic reaction. This reaction usually causes symptoms in the nose, lungs, throat, sinuses, ears, lining of the stomach or on the skin. Each type of IgE has specific "radar" for each type of allergen. That's why some people are only allergic to cat dander (they only have the IgE antibodies specific to cat dander); while others have allergic reactions to multiple allergens because they have many more types of IgE antibodies. An allergy is a reaction by your immune system to something that does not bother most other people. People who have allergies often are sensitive to more than one thing. Substances that often cause reactions are Pollen Dust mites Mold spores Pet dander Food Insect stings Medicines Normally, your immune system fights germs. It is your body's defense system. In most allergic reactions, however, it is responding to a false alarm. Genes and the environment probably both play a role. Allergies can cause a variety of symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, itching, rashes, swelling, or asthma. Allergies can range from minor to severe. Anaphylaxis is a severe reaction that can be life-threatening. Doctors use skin and blood tests to diagnose allergies. Treatments include medicines, allergy shots, and avoiding the substances that cause the reactions. Allergies An allergy is an immune response or reaction to substances that are usually not harmful. Causes Allergies are very common. Both genes and environment play a role. If both your parents have allergies, there is a good chance that you have them, too. The immune system normally protects the body against harmful substances, such as bacteria and viruses. It also reacts to foreign substances called allergens. These are usually harmless and in most people do not cause a problem. Allergic reactions In a person with allergies, the immune response is oversensitive. When it recognizes an allergen, the immune system launches a response. Chemicals such as histamines are released. These chemicals cause allergy symptoms. Allergic reaction can be provoked by skin contact with poison plants, chemicals and animal scratches, as well as by insect stings. Ingesting or inhaling substances like pollen, animal dander, molds and mildew, dust, nuts and shellfish, may also cause allergic reaction. Medications such as penicillin and other antibiotics are also to be taken with care, to assure an allergic reflex is not triggered. The immune system normally responds to harmful substances such as bacteria, viruses and toxins by producing symptoms such as runny nose and congestion, post-nasal drip and sore throat, and itchy ears and eyes. An allergic reaction can produce the same symptoms in response to substances that are generally harmless, like dust, dander or pollen. The sensitized immune system produces antibodies to these allergens, which cause chemicals called histamines to be released into the bloodstream, causing itching, swelling of affected tissues, mucus production, hives, rashes, and other symptoms. Symptoms vary in severity from person to person.

Allergic Rhinitis Symptoms | Seasonal Allergy Symptoms [2018]

I'm going to give you an extensive overview of allergic rhinitis symptoms and seasonal allergy symptoms in this video. Do spring flowers and bright blue skies give you a runny nose and itching eyes? Subscribe so you’ll never miss my latest videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBve_ppCNE67fs3MsIocitg?sub_confirmation=1 Be sure to follow me on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dr.frita/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Dr.Frita Twitter: https://twitter.com/DrFrita Ah yes. We complain all through the bitter cold winter, and we can't wait to get to the warm spring. But for many people, April showers bring May flowers and seasonal allergy symptoms or allergic rhinitis. What is allergic rhinitis? Rhinitis is the inflammation of the nasal passages or upper airways. It causes symptoms such as a runny nose, stuffy nose, itchy throat, and it can lead to the melodious spring sounds. Allergic rhinitis can occur at any age, but it most commonly presents in children and in young adults. You are at increased risk for allergic rhinitis if you have a family member with seasonal allergies or if you have asthma or eczema. If you have allergic rhinitis, you are not alone, because over 20 million Americans also have allergic rhinitis. The actress and singer, Scarlett Johansson, who has starred in multiple Marvel movies, including The Avengers, Iron Man 2, Captain America, well, she also suffers from seasonal allergies, and the actor, Orlando Bloom, also has allergic rhinitis. You know him, of course. You've seen him in the Lord of the Rings and the Pirates of the Caribbean. What causes allergic rhinitis? Allergic rhinitis is caused by small airborne particles that trigger the immune system. These particles are called allergens. This is what happens in your body. You walk outside. You inhale the nice spring air. As you inhale it, you notice your car that you just got washed yesterday is now covered with that bright yellow-green pollen. As you have inhaled spring's nature, you have also inhaled some particles of pollen, a tiny airborne particle. This pollen, or an allergen, now triggers your immune system. It triggers an inflammation in your nasal passages by releasing immune cells, such as mast cells and basophils. These cells stimulate the release of histamines which cause the inflammation in your nasal passages. Once you have this inflammation, it then causes you to have nasal congestion or stuffiness. It can cause a runny nose. It can cause an itching in the back of your throat or in your ears. It can also cause postnasal drip, which is the sensation that mucus is just dripping from the back of your nose to the back of your throat. These are those symptoms of allergic rhinitis. As your immune system continues to be triggered, these symptoms can spread from just your nasal passages on into your lower airways or your lungs. You can then get inflammation in your lungs which can cause shortness of breath or wheezing. You can also get symptoms in your eyes from your immune system. Red eyes, itching eyes, running eyes. All of these things happen with allergic rhinitis which is triggered by allergens. What are some other allergens that trigger allergic rhinitis? We mentioned pollen, but also there's ragweed, mold, grass, trees, dust mites, pet dander or the hair from those lovable, adorable pets of yours, like cats and dogs. Also, beautiful spring flowers can be allergens that trigger allergic rhinitis. You can imagine that a beautiful green golf course has many of the allergens I just mentioned, which is why it's quite interesting that Tiger Woods has been reported to have seasonal allergies. Allergic rhinitis treatment or seasonal allergies remedies? Allergic Rhinitis can usually be diagnosed with a good history and physical from your physician, but if you are a person who has difficult to treat symptoms, you may require certain blood tests or allergy testing or skin testing. How do you treat allergic rhinitis? Well, since allergic rhinitis is caused by allergens which trigger your immune system, the best Allergic Rhinitis treatment is simply to avoid the allergens. This video discusses allergic rhinitis symptoms, allergic rhinitis treatment or seasonal allergy symptoms.

Allergic Conjunctivitis: Types, Causes, and Symptoms

08:08
Allergic Conjunctivitis: Types, Causes, and Symptoms What is allergic conjunctivitis? When your eyes are exposed to substances like pollen or mold spores, they may become red, itchy, and watery. These are symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. Allergic conjunctivitis is an eye inflammation caused by an allergic reaction to substances like pollen or mold spores. The inside of your eyelids and the covering of your eyeball have a membrane called the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva is susceptible to irritation from allergens, especially during hay fever season. Allergic conjunctivitis is quite common. It’s your body’s reaction to substances it considers potentially harmful. What are the types of allergic conjunctivitis? Allergic conjunctivitis comes in two main types: Acute allergic conjunctivitis This is a short-term condition that is more common during allergy season. Your eyelids suddenly swell, itch, and burn. You may also have a watery nose. Chronic allergic conjunctivitis A less common condition called chronic allergic conjunctivitis can occur year-round. It is a milder response to allergens like food, dust, and animal dander. Common symptoms come and go but include burning and itching of the eyes and light sensitivity. What causes allergic conjunctivitis? You experience allergic conjunctivitis when your body tries to defend itself against a perceived threat. It does this in reaction to things that trigger the release of histamine. Your body produces this potent chemical to fight off foreign invaders. Some of the substances that cause this reaction are: household dust pollen from trees and grass mold spores animal dander chemical scents such as household detergents or perfume Some people may also experience allergic conjunctivitis in reaction to certain medications or substances dropped into the eyes, such as contact lens solution or medicated eye drops. Who is at risk for allergic conjunctivitis? People who have allergies are more likely to develop allergic conjunctivitis. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, allergies affect 30 percent of adults and 40 percent of children, and often run in families. Allergies affect people of all ages, though they are more common in children and young adults. If you have allergies and live in locations with high pollen counts, you are more susceptible to allergic conjunctivitis. What are the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis? Red, itchy, watery, and burning eyes are common symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. You may also wake up in the morning with puffy eyes. How is allergic conjunctivitis diagnosed? Your doctor will examine your eyes and review your allergy history. Redness in the white of the eye and small bumps inside your eyelids are visible signs of conjunctivitis. Your doctor may also order one of the following tests: An allergy skin test exposes your skin to specific allergens and allows your doctor to examine your body’s reaction, which may include swelling and redness. A blood test may be recommended to see if your body is producing proteins, or antibodies, to protect itself against specific allergens like mold or dust. A scraping of your conjunctival tissue may be taken to examine your white blood cells. Eosinophils are white blood cells that become activated when you have allergies. How is allergic conjunctivitis treated? There are many treatment methods available for allergic conjunctivitis: Home care Treating allergic conjunctivitis at home involves a combination of prevention strategies and activities to ease your symptoms. To minimize your exposure to allergens: close windows when the pollen count is high keep your home dust-free use an indoor air purifier avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, dyes, and perfumes To ease your symptoms, avoid rubbing your eyes. Applying a cool compress to your eyes can also help reduce inflammation and itching. Medications In more troublesome cases, home care may not be adequate. You will need to see a doctor who might recommend the following options: an oral or over-the-counter antihistamine to reduce or block histamine release anti-inflammatory or anti-inflammation eye drops eye drops to shrink congested blood vessels steroid eye drops What is the long-term outlook? With proper treatment, you can experience relief or at least reduce your symptoms. Recurring exposure to allergens, however, will likely trigger the same symptoms in the future. How do I prevent allergic conjunctivitis? Completely avoiding the environmental factors that cause allergic conjunctivitis can be difficult. The best thing you can do is to limit your exposure to these triggers. For example, if you know that you are allergic to perfume or household dust, you can try to minimize your exposure by using scent-free soaps and detergents. You may also consider installing an air purifier in your home.

Blepheritis is where there is inflammation of the lid margins. The lid margins get inflamed. Any area which gets inflamed, there will be redness, soreness, edema and all of these will be associated with those with dry eye , lots of children with allergic conjunctivitis also get this lid infections, how do we treat this? We keep the eyes as clean as possible. So what we prefer here is the antibiotic eye ointment. So here what we do is we take the antibiotic eye ointment on our finger tips and put it on top of the lashes and massage. The massage is very important because all the lash line has got implicated. The lash line is important as this will bring out the blepheritis. But more important than that is we have to treat the dryness. To treat the dryness. There are 2 mechanisms, on is silicon lacrimal plug. We have 4 canals in the eye which takes the moisture or the water of the eyes into the nose. Today we don’t need those 4 canals. We are spending so much of our time in front of the video display terminal. That means we are using the mobile phone or the television and we are not blinking. So we don’t need these canals. there are silicon plugs ,that is made in US, patented only for this canal, 300mmicon, which means one third of a millimeter and goes and sits inside the canaI not at all painful, takes less than 5 minutes to put a silicon plug. Atleast 50% of the moisture for the eye will remain in the eye for some more time, the third thing that we need to do is do genetic engineering or gene therapy. Here we take one drop of blood and we process it within a second or two, we make the patient’s own fetal healthy DNA, the patient’s own stem cell. So this is given back as injections to the skin of the eye. By doing so we would have brought back the circulation of the DNA back to the eye, thereby bringing back the moisture that the eye may loose out because the DNA has become bad.
