Dr. Nabeel Qureshi delivers an address to the graduating class of Fall 2016. December 16, 2016. Dr. Nabeel Qureshi is an itinerant speaker and New York Times best-selling author. Since completing his medical degree in 2009, he has dedicated his life to proclaiming, expounding, and defending the Gospel. Nabeel has lectured to students at over 100 universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Dartmouth, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Hong Kong. He has participated in 18 public debates around North America, Europe, and Asia. Following the release of his first book, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, he received the Christian Book Award for the categories of both 'Best New Author' and 'Best Non-Fiction' of 2015. Nabeel focuses on the foundations of the Christian faith, ancient Judaism, early Islam, and the interface of science and religion. He holds an M.D. from Eastern Virginia Medical School, an M.A. in Christian apologetics from Biola University, an M.A. in religion from Duke University, and an M.Phil. in Judaism and Christianity in the Graeco-Roman World from the University of Oxford. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in New Testament studies at Oxford University where he lives with his wife, Michelle.

Paul Earl Sheppard has served as Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Mountain View, California since 1989. Sheppard has transformed this church from a small African American church of 34 members into a thriving multi-racial congregation of more than 5,000 members. Sheppard, who was born and raised in Philadelphia, has studied at the University of Pennsylvania, the Center for Urban Theological Studies, and the Southern California School of Ministry. He holds a Master's degree in Ministry and a Doctorate of Divinity. Sheppard speaks for Enduring Truth, a daily radio program heard throughout the country. He is also a popular conference speaker. He and his wife Meredith, were married in 1982. They have two children, Alicia and Aaron.

David Bentley Hart, is an Orthodox theologian, philosopher, and cultural commentator, whose specialties include philosophical theology, patristics, and aesthetics. â€¨Hart has been published in various periodicals including, Pro Ecclesia, The Scottish Journal of Theology, First Things, and The New Criterion. He has taught at the University of Virginia, the University of St. Thomas, Duke Divinity School, and Loyola College in Baltimore. Hart is the author of seven books including Beauty of the Infinite: The Aesthetics of Christian Truth (Eerdmans, 2004), which has been lauded by The Christian Century as "one of the most brilliant works by an American theologian in the past ten years." His two most recent books are The Doors of the Sea: Where Was God in the Tsunami? (Eerdmans, 2011), and The Devil and Pierre Gernet: Stories, his first work of fiction (Eerdmans, 2012).

Joni Eareckson Tada speaks at Biola University on September 19, 2007 as a part of the Centennial Chapel Series. A diving accident in 1967 left Mrs. Tada a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, unable to use her hands. During two years of rehabilitation, she spent long months learning how to paint with a brush between her teeth. Her high detail fine art paintings and prints are sought after and collected. Due to her best-selling books, beginning with her autobiography, Joni, as well as having visited 35 countries, Joni's first name is recognized around the world. World Wide Pictures' full-length feature film, JONI, in which Mrs. Tada recreated her own life, has been translated into 15 languages and shown in scores of countries around the world. Mrs. Tada's role as a disability advocate led to a presidential appointment to the National Council on Disability for three and a half years, during which time the Americans with Disabilities Act became law. For over a quarter of a century, Joni and Friends has been dedicated to extending the love and message of Christ to people who are affected by disability, whether it is the disabled person, a family member, or friend. Our objective is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of this group of people in practical ways.
