'ARE YOU A GANG RAPIST?': Sen. Lindsey Graham goes off during #Kavanaugh hearing (FNN)

04:29
Brought to you by Desert Diamond: http://ddcaz.com Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Tuesday rejected the requests from Democrats to delay a key hearing on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused the federal judge of sexual assault during a party when they were in high school, are due to testify before the committee on Thursday. Kavanaugh has denied Ford's allegations. In a letter to ranking member Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Grassley wrote: "I am not going to silence Dr. Ford after I promised and assured her that I would provide her a safe, comfortable, and dignified opportunity to testify ... There is no reason to delay the hearing any further." Grassley added that any further delay would be unfair to both Ford and Kavanaugh, whom Grassley said "has asked the Committee repeatedly for the chance to testify as soon as possible ... We can no longer stand in the way of him presenting his testimony before the Committee." Sharing a mix of breaking news, Arizona stories, engaging discussions, and popular culture.

MUST WATCH: Jim Jordan GOES OFF During Clinton Foundation Hearing

06:26
As seen on Outnumbered The panel on "Outnumbered" discussed a top North Carolina congressman's claim that whistleblowers came forward to him about potential illicit activity at the Clinton Foundation. Melissa Francis said Rep. Mark Meadows, a Republican who represents the Smokies, told Fox News that three people have offered him "hundreds of pages of evidence of illegal activity." Francis said Meadows -- the chair of the conservative House Freedom Caucus -- plans to hold a hearing next week in the oversight subcommittee he chairs to look into the allegations. She said that "evidence has been there forever" leading to the conclusion that the Clinton Foundation is indeed rife with corrupt dealings. Francis said the government of Abu Dhabi -- capital of the United Arab Emirates -- paid former President Clinton $1 million to give a pair of speeches while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state. Shortly thereafter, Etihad, a top Emirati airline, received special approval to fly non-stop to the United States and receive customs-related perks only offered to regional flights from Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean, Francis said.

EPIC SHOWDOWN: President Trump Takes On CNN's Jim Acosta

02:49
President Trump clashed dramatically at Wednesday's press conference with CNN White House reporter Jim Acosta, after the CNN star peppered Trump with questions and refused to give up the microphone as he asked about the migrant caravan and Russia investigation. “That's enough. Put down the mic,” he ordered Acosta, as a White House aide tried to take the microphone from him, only for Acosta to initially refuse to turn it over and push her arm down. “I tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them. You are a rude, terrible person, you shouldn’t be working for CNN.” It was one of several testy exchanges during the nearly 90-minute press conference. The dispute began when Acosta first asked Trump about the migrant caravan approaching the U.S. southern border. After challenging Trump whether the caravan really was an “invasion,” as Trump had previously stated, Acosta proceeded to “caravan-splain” to Trump. “The caravan was not an invasion, it is a group of migrants moving up the border from Central America towards the border with the U.S.,” the reporter scolded Trump. “Thank you for telling me that, I appreciate it,” Trump said, before saying he had not “demonized” immigrants as Acosta claimed. But as Trump answered, Acosta repeatedly interjected and went back and forth with Trump over how the White House had characterized the caravan. “They're hundreds of miles away, that’s not an invasion,” Acosta said. “Honestly, I think you should let me run the country, you run CNN and if you did it well, your ratings would be much better,” Trump said. Acosta later asked about the Russian investigation, which Trump then called a “hoax.” After Acosta eventually sat down, Trump said “the way you treat [White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders] is horrible and the way you treat other people is horrible,” Acosta was helped by fellow reporter and NBC correspondent Peter Alexander, who called Acosta a “diligent reporter who busts his butt.” Trump shot back: “Well, I’m not a big fan of yours either, to be honest.” At that point, Acosta stood up and kept speaking to the president, to which Trump had another retort. “When you report fake news, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people,” he said.

PRESIDENTIAL EULOGY: George W. Bush Remembers His Father, George H.W. Bush

13:07
When George H.W. Bush lies in state this week, he will be the 12th president to do so. The 41st president died on Nov. 30 at his home in Houston at the age of 94. His body will arrive Monday in Washington, D.C., where he will lie in the Capitol rotunda for three days, giving the public a chance to mourn. Bush will then be transported back to Texas for another service and his burial. Presidential funerals are planned far in advance, and the family receives help from the military to coordinate the events. Read on for a look at some of the traditions created from past presidential funerals and how they’ve been handled over the years. Out of the five presidents who have died in the past 30 years – including Bush – only one did not have a state funeral. President Richard Nixon was remembered at a service at his library in California before he was buried next to his wife, according to the White House Historical Association. His family thought visitors to the Capitol might not be respectful toward Nixon, who resigned from the office. #Bush41

MIGRANT CARAVAN UPDATE: President Trump Outlines The Tricks Of The Migrants

01:44
Fears of a possible U.S.-Mexican border shutdown associated with the migrant caravan is keeping customers away from Tijuana businesses, according to merchants, tour guides and even dentists who cater to Americans. “It's been kind of slow,” Giancarlo Marshall, who co-owns Nativo Coffee in Tijuana, told Fox News. “Around town, everybody was really nervous and didn't know what was going to happen." One of Nativo Coffee's two locations is just steps from the San Ysidro border crossing. Much of its business comes from those who commute between San Diego and Tijuana. Marshall, who also has seen a slowdown with his rentals listed on Airbnb, said Nativo’s customers are mostly concerned with getting stuck on one side or the other. "They're kind of scared,” Marshall said. "We're people that commute a lot to the U.S., and back and forth.”

HEATED: Bernie Sanders TAKES ON Tom Price at Hearing - Is Healthcare a Right for ALL Americans? -FNN

06:56
Brought to you by Desert Diamond: http://ddcaz.com Bernie Sanders grills Tom Price at his Senate confirmation hearing for Secretary of Health and Human Services. (FoxNews.com) President-elect Donald Trump announced the nomination of Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., to head the Department of Health and Human Services. If confirmed by the Senate, Price will play a central role in Republican efforts to repeal and replace ObamaCare. Trump has pledged to move quickly on overhauling his predecessor's signature measure, but has been vague about what he hopes to see in a replacement bill. "Chairman Price, a renowned physician, has earned a reputation for being a tireless problem solver and the go-to expert on healthcare policy, making him the ideal choice to serve in this capacity," Trump said in a statement. "He is exceptionally qualified to shepherd our commitment to repeal and replace Obamacare and bring affordable and accessible healthcare to every American. I am proud to nominate him as Secretary of Health and Human Services." Price, a 62-year-old six-term congressman and orthopedic surgeon, has chaired the House Budget Committee for the past two years. A bookish conservative from the Atlanta suburbs, Price has worked closely with House Speaker Paul Ryan to assemble GOP budgets aimed at reducing the annual deficit. "I am humbled by the incredible challenges that lay ahead and enthusiastic for the opportunity to be a part of solving them on behalf of the American people,” Price said. Price said whatever Republicans do to replace Obama's health care law will bear a "significant resemblance" to a 2015 measure that was vetoed by the president. That bill would have gutted some of the health care law's main features: Medicaid expansion, subsidies to help middle-class Americans buy private policies, the tax penalties for individuals who refused to get coverage and several taxes to support coverage expansion. The bill would have delayed implementation for two years. Price insisted that Republicans can keep the protections for those with existing medical conditions without mandating that all individuals carry coverage or pay a penalty to support an expanded insurance pool. Price said Republicans want to address "the real cost drivers" of health care price spikes, which he said were not necessarily sicker patients, but a heavy regulatory burden, taxes and lawsuits against medical professionals.

Trey Gowdy Scorches Peter Strozk, Lisa Page During Clinton/Trump Bias Hearing

15:34
House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy scorched James Comey in a blistering opening statement at a high-profile congressional hearing on Tuesday, declaring “we can’t survive with a justice system we don’t trust.” Gowdy kicked off the hearing featuring testimony from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz on his review of the Hillary Clinton email case. The top DOJ watchdog is on Capitol Hill for the second day in a row to discuss the explosive report. But Gowdy launched into Tuesday's session -- a joint hearing held by the House oversight and judiciary panels -- with a fiery condemnation of the former FBI director and certain agents in the bureau he led. Referring to IG findings that Comey defied his superiors in his handling of the Clinton email case, Gowdy accused the ex-director of essentially operating by his own rules. "We see Jim Comey and Jim Comey alone deciding which DOJ policies to follow and which to ignore," he said. Gowdy accused Comey of watering down his initial statement on the investigation's findings and making other decisions on his own. While Comey has suggested he acted unilaterally out of concern for the Justice Department's handling of the case, Gowdy questioned why he didn't seek a special counsel -- as he indirectly did regarding concerns about the Trump administration. “Instead, he appointed himself FBI director, attorney general, special counsel, lead investigator and the general arbiter of what is good and right in the world according to him,” Gowdy said. Gowdy said that Horowitz’s report, which was released last Thursday, should “conjure anger, disappointment and sadness in anyone who reads it.” He also said that, in the wake of the IG report, there were FBI agents and attorneys who decided to "prejudge" the outcome of the Clinton case. “These exact same FBI agents and attorney prejudged the outcome of the Russia investigation before it even began,” he added.

Donald Trump Invites Nigel Farage On Rally Stage FNN

05:45
Brought to you by Desert Diamond: http://ddcaz.com Donald Trump is linking his "movement to take back the country" to Britain's surprising vote to leave the European Union. He invited Nigel Farage, an architect of Britain's successful "Brexit" campaign, to join him on stage at a rally Wednesday night in Jackson, Mississippi. Farage is outgoing head of the United Kingdom Independence Party. He said "anything is possible" if enough people band together, and predicted that Trump's presidential campaign would "smash the establishment." Farage noted that his movement was an underdog in public opinion polls but triumphed in Britain's June 23 referendum. He predicted that Trump, who supported Britain's departure from the European Union, would stage a comeback and win in November. Trump called Farage's appearance an honor and said, "The nation's working people will take control again."

MUST WATCH: Ted Cruz Grills Democrats On "Hypocritical" Views On Brett Kavanaugh

14:29
Judge Brett Kavanaugh goes before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday for confirmation hearings with what supporters call the longest paper trail – practically a superhighway – of any federal judicial nominee, a testament to his enviable insider status in public and private corridors of Washington power. That impressive resume has created both political opportunity and peril, as Senate Democrats have demanded a go-slow approach so that Kavanaugh's records as a federal judge, White House staffer and lawyer for Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr can be thoroughly scoured. "We don't know if there's some sort of revelatory bombshell," Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said. But Republicans are confident the 53-year-old judge will be on the bench when the Supreme Court begins its new term Oct. 1. "Watching this confirmation unfold is like watching the tortured last moments of a blowout basketball game," said Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah. "Democrats are down thirty with ten seconds left, but they keep fouling to stop the shot clock in an attempt to avoid their inevitable defeat."

OVAL OFFICE FIGHT: President Trump, Chuck Schumer And Nancy Pelosi ARGUE Over Border Wall Funding

14:34
President Trump clashed Tuesday with Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi with the cameras rolling in the Oval Office, as the president insisted he's willing to let the government shut down if Congress doesn't approve funding for his U.S.-Mexico border wall. "If we don't have border security, we'll shut down the government," Trump said. The highly anticipated sit-down quickly escalated, in public, as Trump allowed the press to attend the start of it. Trump began by repeatedly telling Pelosi, the House Democratic leader, that what she's proposing would not pass the Senate. Schumer then raised his voice as he claimed the Senate could pass measures to keep the government running regardless. –– ADVERTISEMENT –– "If it's not good [on] border security, I won't take it," Trump shot back. Pelosi and Schumer repeatedly urged the president to take the meeting private, but not before he declared he's "proud to shut down the government for border security" and will "take the mantle." Pelosi noted, "this has spiraled downwards." The explosive meeting with Schumer, the Senate minority leader, and Pelosi came hours after Trump threatened Tuesday to have the military “build the remaining sections” of the wall if Congress doesn’t deliver the funding. Vice President Mike Pence was also in attendance. As Trump began discussing the details of the negotiations, Pelosi said, "I don’t think you should have a debate in front of the press." At another point, Schumer said: "Let's debate in private.” Trump and Schumer also exchanged zingers over recent midterm elections. “Elections have consequences, Mr. President,” Schumer said. “And that’s why the country is doing so well,” the president shot back. Schumer jabbed Trump over boasting that Republicans kept control of the Senate. “When a president brags that he’s won Indiana and North Dakota, he’s in real trouble,” Schumer said. “We did!” Trump replied. “We did win.” Congress last week temporarily averted a partial shutdown amid the funeral services for the late President George H.W. Bush, pushing the new deadline to Dec. 21. But border wall funding remains the sticking point as Trump and congressional leaders try to hammer out a government spending package. Trump wants $5 billion for the project, while Democrats are offering $1.3 billion for border security. Earlier, Pelosi and Schumer put out a joint statement Monday arguing Trump and his party will own a government shutdown if they can’t strike a deal. "Republicans still control the House, the Senate and the White House, and they have the power to keep government open," they said. "Our country cannot afford a Trump Shutdown," the Democrats said, adding that Trump "knows full well that his wall proposal does not have the votes to pass the House and Senate and should not be an obstacle to a bipartisan agreement." Trump said Friday that Congress should provide all the money he wants for the wall and called illegal immigration a "threat to the well-being of every American community."

WAR OF WORDS: Sarah Sanders Spars With CNN's Jim Acosta At TENSE Briefing

02:55
Brought to you by Desert Diamond: http://ddcaz.com Press Secretary Sarah Sanders took her long-running feud with CNN’s Jim Acosta to a new level during Thursday’s White House briefing, blasting the media for personal attacks against her and accusing the press of debasing the discourse in America. The press secretary was responding to similar allegations leveled against President Trump. Specifically, Acosta asked Sanders to say whether the press is indeed the “enemy of the people,” as her boss has controversially claimed, after Ivanka Trump broke with her father on the statement at an Axios event earlier Thursday. “I think it would be a good thing if you were to say right here, at this briefing, that the press … are not the enemy of the people. I think we deserve that,” Acosta told Sanders. Sanders pointed out that President Trump has “made his position known,” before the CNN senior White House correspondent interrupted – resulting in Sanders and Acosta talking over each other. From there, Sanders launched into a point-by-point rebuttal. “It’s ironic, Jim, that not only you and the media attack the president for his rhetoric when they frequently lower the level of conversation in this country. Repeatedly, repeatedly the media resorts to personal attacks without any content other than to incite anger,” Sanders fired back. She went on to say the media have attacked her personally “on a number of occasions” before specifically calling out rhetoric she said aired on CNN. “Including your own network said I should be harassed as a life sentence.
